SEPARATION 2

Text : 2Co 6:17  Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, If you are a child of God, you have been called to be Separated from the world. Without separation, you are not safe yourself and you cannot be a vessel in saving others. The men who have won souls and influenced other lives for  God have been the men who have walked with God above the masses.  The only way to win others is to be different ourselves and thus attract them by something they lack. Now, separation has always been God's standard. Abraham had to leave his country,  and his father's home,  and in complete separation, he set out to a place he knew not. Gen. 12. Yet,  separation for any and every child of God is an on-going process. Though Abraham had separated from his country and people,  later on in his journey, he still had to separate from Lot.  Had Abraham gone to live with Lot in Sodom, his influence would have availed

SEPARATION

Text : 2Co 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, It is doubtful if there ever was a time when the note of separation needed to be sounded more than today. The world has become so churchy and the Church so worldly that it is hard to distinguish the one from the other. The line of demarcation has been so completely broken down that one could easily conclude that the word "Ichabod- the Glory  has departed" has been said concerning some churches.  But worldliness in the professing church is only another sign of the end of age. The prophetic utterances of God's word are being literally fulfilled. It cannot be long now before He  (Jesus Christ, our King) comes back.  Many people erroneously believe that we must mingle with the world and become like it in order to win souls and influence lives for God. When a man falls into a deep well,  no one dreams of jumping down alongside with hi

ADDICTED(Part 2)

Text:1 Corinthians 16:15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)_   The first thing that guarantees freedom from any form of addiction is WILLINGNESS. You must truly desire freedom from the very depth of your heart. Isaiah 1:18. The second thing to do is to *open up*.  Every secret works of darkness are truly shameful. But when you are willing to be free, you must despise shame and come to the light ".......  let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light" Romans  13:12. Opening up an act that have held you down for years simply exposes the devil. Even if you are in any covenant or evil agreement with anyone or occultic group, and you are now willing to be free.- just open up. Fear no consequences. Light only dispels darkness. When you open up, you are simply reproving unfruitfil works of darkness, and that is o

ADDICTED

Text : 1 Corinthians  16:15   I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)_  This is the only verse in the whole of the(KJV) Bible where the word "addicted" is mentioned. The word "Addicted" simply means to be devoted to or obsessed with something. So we can rephrase the verse by saying:  *you know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have DEVOTED themselves to the ministry of the saints.*  Whatever you are devoted to, obsessed with, or given yourself to is what you are addicted to. Such thing therefore has become your master. It has gain mastery over you. That means you are no longer in control. Addiction simply makes you a servant of something or some kind of bad and sinful acts. Romans 6:16 says "Don’t you realize that you become the slave of *whatever* *you choose to obey* ? You can be a slave to si

HEART MATTERS 2

Text : Dan 1:8.  But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. Daniel had every right to be bittered in his heart. For no direct fault of his, he was among the people who were captured as slaves to Babylon. On getting to Babylon,  he was castrated because he was selected as part of the slaves who will be serving as Eunuchs  to the king of Babylon. Castration was one of the requirements of those that will serve within the palace at that time.  Note that Daniel was only a teenager when this unfortunate incidence happened. Yet without the presence or tutelage of his Parents, his Pastors or Bible study teachers, he still chose to stand for God.  Contrary to some people's school of thought that being faithful to God would be easy if given a palatable situation.  The likes of Daniel,  his three friends and othe

HEART MATTERS

Text : Act 5:3 ISV  Peter asked, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart so that you should lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back some of the money you got for the land? All of man's actions and inactions are all matters of the heart. The position of your heart or should I say what fills your heart determines what you do. Whoever is in the control seat of your heart is the Lord of your life. Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thank God that, though you were once slaves of sin, you became obedient from your hearts to that form of teaching with which you were entrusted! Roman's 6:16-17. What Ananias and Sapphira did appealed conveniently to common sense (selling your land,  keeping part of the proceed for yourself and giving the remaining to the church). But the word of God helps us to know that it was Satan who work

GIVE IT ALL

Text : John 6:9  “There’s a little boy here who has five barley loaves and two small fish. But what are these among so many people?” The story of Jesus feeding five thousands men(excluding women and children) is so intriguing,  especially as *everyone received a  satisfying portion.* But more intriguing than those that received was the little boy who gave ALL HIS LUNCH PACK to Jesus.  Permit me to share some intriguing virtues of this Lad: 1. *He followed Jesus :* It was recorded that a large crowd followed Jesus(albeit for varied reasons), but this little boy was one of the people that followed Jesus not only to be fed physically but to be led by Him.  Following Jesus is not age bias. While children of His age(or even older)  may be preoccupied with other youthful exorbitants, this lad followed Jesus so closely to the point that he could be noticed among crowd.  Are you really following Jesus?  Or are you just among the multitude who seek Jesus simply for miracles? Are you following H

GREAT CHANGE

Text : Rom 12:2 ISV  Do not be conformed to this world, but continuously be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you may be able to determine what God’s will is—what is proper, pleasing, and perfect. If there ever will be a change, it must start from your mind. When you gave your life to Jesus, it was actually your Spirit that received life,  your mind remained ungenerated still.  To bring your mind to the same frequency with your spirit,  you are required to do somethings: 1. *Shun conformity to this world :* One thing that comes to man naturally is conformity to this world. There is a natural inclination to want to belong, a desire to follow the norms or trends. However,  once you are a new creature,  you must agree with your spirit to shun conformity(compliance) to this world. James 4:4. 2. *Be transformed continuously :* To transform is to change the nature, condition or function of something or someone. That is,  you are to continuously  stay in the business in the bu

GREAT CHANGE

Text :  Luke 19:8.   And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold_ . While growing up as a child of God, one of the songs that struck a  deep cord in me was " There is a great change since I'm born again.... " But later on in years, some believers with another school of thoughts came with the theory that being born again has nothing to do with the change in your life.  Well, it may be true that a positive change in character doesn't mean there's is a change in the spirit but the concluding part of this analogy is that a true change in the spirit will produce a positive change in the physical.  When Zacchaeous had an encounter with Jesus,  without ceaseless bible study meetings, prayer meetings and unending seminars and conferences. With just one encounter,  his life took a new turn.  The presence of the Holy Spirit in your l

REST

Texts:Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest._  Jesus has given everyone an open invitation to come to Him for Rest. This invitation is only for those that are weary and heavy laden. It is a call to rest, from human struggles, labour and toil imposed by Sin. Since man fell in the garden of Eden. Our lives have been typified with labour and toil. A life that is lived outside of Jesus's help is a life full of stuggles, turmoil and Pains.  We are not necessarily talking about physical labour and struggles; but the spiritual state of every man that are yet to yield to the invitation of Jesus. Anyone living in sin is under the heavy laden and labour.;anyone.living in guilt and condemnation; anyone living in perpetual fear; anyone living under constant fear of death: Such a person is labouring for sin and his wages shall be death (Rom. 6:23). Several people are suffering from various sins. Though they  are tired of these sins but they

RESTING IN HIS WORD

Text :  Luke  1:38   And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her._  The same angel(Gabriel) the Lord sent ro Zechariah was also sent to Mary. An ordinary girl (Mary)easily accepted and rested in God's words but not the Priest.(Zecharias). Mary responded from a simple heart of Faith: BE IT UNTO ME *_ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD.* How the Lord long to hear same from many of His children today.  This is a simple heart of belief in a the good news. It is however strange how Zecharias, the Priest(Who stands in the gap between God and man) cannot believe God for a child. He must have read about how God gave Abraham and Sarah children. But Mary had never heard about how a virgin could become pregnant without any contact with a man, yet she believed. Our God is not so moved by your religious practices as much as He is moved by our Faith in His words. We must learn to rest in His Word by simply plunging in with a simple hear

DIVINE ASSISTANCE

Text :  1 Chronicles  12:22   For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God._  David received great help  as great men gathered unto him on daily basis.  These people kept on coming until David had a great host like the host of God. Only God can do this.  This is one of the  factors that made David become a great success. To become all that God wants you to be, you surely need the Help of God Himself . Though this help may be in human form, but they are divinely orchestrated.  In 1Samuel 9, Saul' s Father asked him to take one of the servants. No specific servant' s name was mentioned(1Samuel 9:3). The Lord helped Saul to choose the servant that suggested the idea of meeting with Samuel(1Samuel 9:6). The same servant had money on him to give the Seer when Saul had none((1 Sam 9:7-8). Saul would not have met with destiny that very day if not for the divine assistance he received. He got this from ordinary Servant. Th

ASSIGNMENT

Text :  1Samuel 9:3 ISV  The donkeys belonging to Kish, Saul’s father, were lost, and Kish told his son Saul, “Take one of the young men with you, get up, and go look for the donkeys.” When Kish the father of Saul sent him(Saul) on an assignment of finding his lost donkeys,  little did he know that it was a divine assignment.  A number of times when God intends to give a divine assignment to His children, He does not announce it ahead of time, He only expects you to carry out the seemingly mundane assignments given to you by men. In doing this,  He will launch you into your divine destiny.  At a time, God wanted to launch David (of the Bible) into His divine assignment. To do this, David had to defeat and kill Goliath.  Yet, God didn't come down from heaven or at least reveal this instruction to him in a dream. Instead,  He simply made his father (David's father) to send him on an errand to his elder brothers at the battle front. 1 Samuel 17. If David had refused to run this er

BATTLE OF THE MIND

Text : Matthew 4:5-6 Then the devil took him to the Holy City and had him stand on the highest point of the Temple.  He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written, ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and, ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’” The battle of the mind is the fiercest of all battles. Every victory or defeat is gotten first in the mind.  Before our Lord Jesus Christ went to Calvary to be crucified,  he had gone there first in His mind at the mount of Olives. It was at this point that he actually won the battle on His kneels. There, it was recorded that His sweat was like blood. Luke 22:39-46. The Spiritual rules the Physical. Everything that happened in the 'seen realm' had first and foremost taken place in the 'unseen realm'. Satan engages man in his mind through thoughts and ideas. Once he is able to capture your thoughts by selling his evil agenda

DON'T BE IGNORANT 2

Text :  2Co 2:11   Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. One of the definitions of 'device' says it is a project or scheme, often designed to deceive. So when the bible told us not to be ignorant of the devil's devices, it's simply saying you should not be ignorant of the schemes of the devil. Basically, these devices(weapons) are used within our 'thought region'. And that is why you are to guide your heart with all diligence. Proverbs 4:7. We are enjoined to equally use spiritual weapons against the devil.  The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ, being ready to punish every act of disobedience, when your own

DON'T BE IGNORANT

Text :  2Co 2:11   Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices . A number of times, people call the devil names like 'foolish' or 'stupid'. Yes, the devil may be a liar, he  may be evil, wicked and every thing bad but he is not stupid. As a matter of fact he is wise,  that is why we are told to be as wise as serpent.  "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."Mat 10:16.  The word "wise" in this verse means to be intelligent. That is, the devil is intelligent (howbeit in a bad sense). So it is dangerous to have a wrong conception of your archenemy. We are enjoined not to be ignorant of the devices of the devil. This statement implies two things: 1. There is a possibility that you can be ignorant of the devil's devices. It is often said that ignorance is never an excuse anywhere. Yet many are being plagued left, right, center by the devil&

ONE TOUCH

Text :Mark 5:30  And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? In the midst of the multitude, where many are thronging, Jesus turned and said, " who touched my clothes?" While many in the multitude were only touching Jesus unconsciously, one particular woman made a deliberate  FAITH-TOUCH. She touched Jesus for her healing. It is possible you have also been touching Jesus religiously and passively for a long time. I want to encourage you to start engaging in a  "Faith-Touch". There was a woman who had suffered from hemorrhage (loss of blood) for 12 good years. The bible says that she had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,Mark 5:26. Her livelihood was gone while making several attempts to recover from continuous loss of blood. Right before her own very eyes, her life was draining on a dail

STOP PAYING ATTENTION TO LIES

Text :John  8:44   Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it._  Devil is a liar and he is the father of lies and all liars. This is the reason  y,ou need to be careful of speaking lies. When you tell lies, you are walking in the corridor of the Father of lies(devil). God's word also tells us that all LIARS will end up in hell fire. "....and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death" Rev. 21:8. Everything about the devil is a lie. When he speaks lies, he speaks his very native language. Everything the devil does is a lie. No single truth can be found in him.  I will like to define lie as anything that is not in line with the Truth. Anything that is not true is a lie. Just like devil is a lie

STOP TOYING WITH IDOLS

Text : Exodus 32:6  And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play._ Though the Israelites offered burnt and peace offerings, but it all amounted to sinful offerings. They offered what was meant for God to "calf image" (idol).  Apostle John strictly warned us: "Little children, keep yourselves from idols." 1 John  5:21. The sin of Idolatry is not just limited to bowing down before a statute. In whatever name you raise a statute, it is simply an Idolatry. Some even raise a statute and call her "The mother of Jesus" They pray before it. This is simply Idolatry that God commanded we shouldn't do. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:Exodus 20:4  Our focus today is on those sins which have become idol in our

BE TRANSFORMED(2)

Text : Romans 12:2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.(NLT) Having known that our  transformation is very important, we must therefore seek this experience wholeheartedly and dilligently. ".....be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind" Romans 12:2. Our transformation comes by and through our mind renewal. Transformation is a continuous and an ongoing  process. Your mind cannot be transformed by mere wishful thinking. It takes your active participation with God to experience transformation. LET'S quickly look at the following participation we must undertake to experience continuous transformation.  *1. Get in the Word.*  Ephesians 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, The word of God is a purifier. It's a cleanser. Though the word of God is the

WORD OF WISDOM 3

Text :  Proverbs 7:4-5. Say to wisdom, “You’re my sister!” and call understanding your close relative, So they can keep you from an adulterous woman, from the immoral woman with her seductive words.  Very explicitly, the two things that can keep you from the adulterous  and immoral woman are *wisdom* and *understanding* This adulterous woman is more of a system than a gender. That is,  anyone or anything that follows the same system or pattern of this adulterous woman is tending towards the same destination.  Below are some salient truths about this adulterous woman.  1. *She has territory* Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house, Pro 7:8. Immorality has her corner,  it has a way(pattern) and it has a house. The moment you cross your limit to her boundary, you are heading towards destruction.  However, it is clear that only people without understanding can engage in such deadly adventure, Proverbs 7:6-7. Stay off her track and you will be safe.  2.

WORD OF WISDOM 2

Text : Pro 7: 2&3 If you obey my rules, you will live. Keep my words as you keep your eyes safe. Remember my words. Think about them all the time There are no two ways to it.  Keeping the words of wisdom takes an effort from your part.  No one can do the job for you. You have to commit yourself to it by YOURSELF.  In Christian faith,  you may get some things as Gifts-for instance, all the gift of the Spirit as we have it in 1 Corinthian 12, just as the name implies are Gifts. And since they are Gifts, to get it,  you are not required to do anything, just receive it. But,  when it comes to keeping the words of God, you have to intentionally commit your heart to it. Joshua 1:8. Romans 1:28 talks about people who have heard the word of God but chose not to retain Him in their knowledge. That is,  man has the power to choose either to retain God in his knowledge or not.  In fact,  one big thing that  sets man apart, from other creatures is "the power of Choice". Man has power

WORD OF WISDOM

Text : Pro 7:1&2 My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. If there was a man every young fellow needs to listen to in order to glean wisdom for successful living, is  King Solomon.  Solomon was a one time king of Israel. It was recorded concerning him that he was the wisest and richest man who ever lived apart from Jesus Christ (and those who are in Christ). 1 Kings 3:12-13. 1 Corinthian 1:24,30. Having lived to enjoy everything his heart ever desired, Eccl. 2:10, Solomon decided to instruct the younger generation. These instructions came from his wealth of experience which emanated majorly from his own errors and mistakes.  So, wisdom demands that you learn from the mistakes of others in order for you not to fall into the same ditch. Hence,  we shall be looking at this word of wisdom for some days now.  The first instruction issued out here from our text is for sons,  those who have received C

STOP TOYING WITH SIN

Text : Exodus 32:6  And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play. One of the major challenges people are faced with is the inability to see what the future holds for them. This therefore leads to impatience. Hence, many have ran out of God's plan for their lives. From the passage, the Israelites felt that Moses had delayed in his coming down from the mount Sinai(where he had gone to meet with the Lord for the COMMANDMENTs). They demanded that Aaron should make them gods that will lead them into the promised land.  We need to be careful of helping God complete or finish a task which He initiated. The Israelites forgot all that God had done for them and through them, they took Him for granted.  Toying with sin is equivalent to toying(playing)with your destiny. The Israelites suffered a great loss for rising up to play ...."and the people sat down to eat and to drink

PAY ATTENTION

Text : Pro 4:1 ISV  Listen, children, to your father’s instruction,   and pay attention in order to gain understanding._  Your life is the aggregate of what you have paid attention to.  Being mindful of how well you listen to others will be an important consideration throughout your life. Listening and paying attention to others when they speak is a sign of respect and a skill that will lead to deeper and better relationships. Much more important than paying attention to others is paying attention to God's instructions. One of the greatest strategies of the devil is to distract you from paying attention to God's instructions. And the reason is very simple,  he knows instruction is life, and he doesn't want man to gain life.  Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.Pro 4:13,   To take fast hold of instruction, you must first listen to the instruction and then, pay close attention to it. If indeed you realised that INSTRUCTION IS YOUR LIFE

GOD HATES DIVORCE

Text. : Malachi 2:16. For the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I hate divorce and marital separation and him who covers his garment [his wife] with violence. Therefore keep a watch upon your spirit [that it may be controlled by My Spirit], that you deal not treacherously and faithlessly [with your marriage mate]._  (Amplified version) God hates divorce! The word of God specifically tells us that God hates divorce. Why then are people still getting themselves involve in what God hates?  The major reason behind every divorce is  LOVE. I mean God's kind of LOVE is lacking in the relationship. It does not matter who is concerned, the standard  of stands firm.  God still hates divorce.  In this dispensation of Grace, divorce is totally unacceptable to God.This is simply because God expects the relationship between husband and wife to mirror that of *Jesus and the Church.* Therefore, when a christian couple attempts divorce, they are simply telling God that Jesus can divorce the church. Div

LOOKING UNTO JESUS

Text. : Heb. 12:2. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith: who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God._  Today,  we shall be taking a critical look at some of the key words from our text:  *LOOKING* This is a continuous tense, which suggests that, what we are to do  is not a one-off event. For you to succeed as a Christian,  you must continually fix your gaze unto Jesus. Keep looking unto Him.  *UNTO JESUS*: it is very easy to look at something else other than Jesus.  We live in a distracting world, where every thing is calling and demanding for your attention. Things like : facebook,  whatsapp,  movies, parties, religious activities, friends, family, sports,  career, business, pleasure, and the list is endless  I know quite a number of the things calling for our attention are truly legit,  but even amidst it,  we are to look unto  Jesus. Because He's the only one who can ma

WALKING IN THE SPIRIT

Text : Gal. 6:16. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh._  So many Christians have hit the rock as far as the Christian race is concerned. They just go to church and do religion, but they are no longer journeying. The pursuit of Holy living and sanctification is no longer there.  You have been called to a race. Christianity is not religion, it's a race. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the *race that is set before us.* Heb 12:1. This implies that you are in a RACE.  To run this race however, you must play according to the rules or else you you won't get the prize. You know that in a race all the runners run but only one wins the prize, don’t you? You must run in such a way that you may be victorious.1Co 9:24. Any believer who runs according to the rules is considered to be walking in th

SPIRITUAL PARENTING 3

Text : Gen 18:19   For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. It always take two to tangle. No matter how well the parents tried,  from the moment a child is born,  his contribution is needed in order to record good success.  In the spirit,  a child is born the moment he becomes born again. Just as the word implies, he has been born the second time. John 3:3,5. The first time being the physical birth and the second, the spiritual birth. John 1:12. Jesus Christ our Master, gave the great commission to the disciples in Matthew 28:18-20, so that everyone that will experience the second birth, will do so through the witness of another person. (family line).  Technically, whoever (male or female) ministers the gospel to you and you gained understanding enough to surrender your life to Jesus is your spiritual parent. (

SPIRITUAL PARENTING 2

Text : Gen 18:19   For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. Today,  we will focus a little on the roles of the parents, while we shall be looking at the roles of the children later.  Just as in physical, biological children, the role of the parents begins from conception all through to the spiritual maturity stage.  The apostle Paul talks about travail: My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you (Gal. 4:19). Paul had already labored and travailed for their spiritual birth and once again he is in labor until Christ is formed in them. Your first responsibility as a spiritual parent is Prayer. When Paul wrote to the Ephesians, it's evident that his heart attitude was profoundly prayerful. He said, For this reason, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph

SPIRITUAL PARENTING

Text : Gen 18:19   For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. By divine arrangement, everyone in this world has to come through a family. God designed it that everyone would be nurtured by Parents. But many Parents are failing in their God-given roles.  However,  God in His wisdom did not limit parenting to biological births only,  and that is why we have "Spiritual Parenting".Spiritual Parenting is the process of raising and educating a child (biological or otherwise)  from birth to maturity.  From our text,  God was vouching concerning Abraham that he will raise his children  in the way of the Lord. At this time,  Abraham had not given birth to Isaac-his biological child of promise, but he was raising the slaves' children in his house in the way of the Lord already.  "And Abraham took Ishmael
