BE TRANSFORMED(2)

Text : Romans 12:2

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.(NLT)

Having known that our  transformation is very important, we must therefore seek this experience wholeheartedly and dilligently.

".....be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind" Romans 12:2. Our transformation comes by and through our mind renewal. Transformation is a continuous and an ongoing  process. Your mind cannot be transformed by mere wishful thinking. It takes your active participation with God to experience transformation.

LET'S quickly look at the following participation we must undertake to experience continuous transformation.

 *1. Get in the Word.* 

Ephesians 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

The word of God is a purifier. It's a cleanser. Though the word of God is the purifier, yet it your responsibility to present yourself before the word for it to perform its cleansing work.

When the word of God permeates your mind,  it changes your pattern of thoughts, worldviews and perspectives. It makes you see and receive God's thoughts and views. "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly....."Colossians 3:16. When the word dwells in you richly, the result is Transformation.

 *2. Meditation in the word* 

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.Psalms 1:2.

 *3. The Blood of Jesus*  

Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify your conscience from sinful deeds so that you can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins.Hebrews  9:14  

The Blood of Jesus cleanses our conscience from evil and sinful deed. We must continually come under its cleansing and purging power.

 *Ou//r transformation comes through the word in our MOUTHS and in our HEARTS continually.*

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life.
