SEPARATION 2

Text : 2Co 6:17

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

If you are a child of God, you have been called to be Separated from the world. Without separation, you are not safe yourself and you cannot be a vessel in saving others. The men who have won souls and influenced other lives for

God have been the men who have walked with God above the masses.

The only way to win others is to be different ourselves and thus attract them by something they lack.

Now, separation has always been God's standard. Abraham had to leave his country,  and his father's home,  and in complete separation, he set out to a place he knew not. Gen. 12.

Yet,  separation for any and every child of God is an on-going process. Though Abraham had separated from his country and people,  later on in his journey, he still had to separate from Lot.

Had Abraham gone to live with Lot in Sodom, his influence would have availed but little. It was when he separated himself and stood afar off on the highlands of faith with God that his intercessions secured Lot's deliverance. *LET US BE SEPARATED,.*

Separation is still the call of God. "Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, " and "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers ".2 Cor. 6:14-18.

Let us remember that according to the word of God, we are pilgrims and strangers, we are sojourners, a heavenly people in a foreign country.

Even the world expects Christians to be different.

*This is the time when every true Christian must be willing to obey the clear and emphatic command : "Come out from among them and be ye separate ".*

*May you receive the Grace to be that true Christian.*

Bible reading: Genesis 12:1-20.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

THE GREATEST

Text : Matthew 18:4   *Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.*   *Being the greatest in the kingdom is not about what you do but who you are.* Jesus pointed out here that little children are humble beings. Hence, what qualifies a person as the greatest in the kingdom of heaven is humility. Little children are both lowly and meek. These are qualities that does not come naturally to an adult. For instance, when you bring a little child from a wealthy background to live in a very poor home with another poor little child, he will gladly comply without any struggle. He will never complain or compare. He will simply adapt and gladly receive all the low and impoverished treatments. No adult or grown up child can accept this so easily.  That is the reason Jesus did not ask us to be converted and become as a child but ' *little child* '   _And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be co...
