DON'T BE IGNORANT 2

Text :  2Co 2:11

Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

One of the definitions of 'device' says it is a project or scheme, often designed to deceive. So when the bible told us not to be ignorant of the devil's devices, it's simply saying you should not be ignorant of the schemes of the devil.

Basically, these devices(weapons) are used within our 'thought region'. And that is why you are to guide your heart with all diligence. Proverbs 4:7.

We are enjoined to equally use spiritual weapons against the devil.

The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ, being ready to punish every act of disobedience, when your own obedience [as a church] is complete. 2 Cor.10:4-6. Amp.

From the afore mentioned, it is clear that we are in battle against:

1. *Fortresses*: Other versions of the Bible refer to this as *strongholds.* The dictionary meaning of stronghold or fortress is a place built to withstand attack; Figuratively, this  stronghold means fortified arguments built to defend against the gospel.

*Beware of any agelong religion, or philosophy of men that is keeping you away from living a faith-based life.*

2. *Thought :* Our mind is a battlefield. Battles are won or lost first in your thoughts region. Romans 12:2 tells us to be transformed in to renew our minds in order to proof God's perfect will for yourlife.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

What is your thought line like? Who is controlling your thoughts pattern, devil or God?

Your life will go in the direction of your thoughts, because you are a summation of your thoughts.

*Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.Pro 4:23 KJV*

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
