GREAT CHANGE

Text :  Luke 19:8.

And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold_ .

While growing up as a child of God, one of the songs that struck a  deep cord in me was " There is a great change since I'm born again.... " But later on in years, some believers with another school of thoughts came with the theory that being born again has nothing to do with the change in your life.

Well, it may be true that a positive change in character doesn't mean there's is a change in the spirit but the concluding part of this analogy is that a true change in the spirit will produce a positive change in the physical.

When Zacchaeous had an encounter with Jesus,  without ceaseless bible study meetings, prayer meetings and unending seminars and conferences. With just one encounter,  his life took a new turn.

The presence of the Holy Spirit in your life is to convict you of sin among other things.

And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:Joh 16:8.

Have you ever had an encounter with Jesus Christ?

Have you ever been convicted of your sin?

Is there any change in your life since you have met with the Lord?

How far have you journeyed with Jesus in this Christian race?

Looking at your life now,  would you say you are any different from where you were before you gave your life to Christ?

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.2Co 5:17 KJV .

*Little children, don’t let anyone deceive you. The person who practices righteousness is righteous, just as the Messiah is righteous.1Jn 3:7 ISV*

Bible reading: Luke 19:1-10.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
