GIVE IT ALL

Text : John 6:9

“There’s a little boy here who has five barley loaves and two small fish. But what are these among so many people?”

The story of Jesus feeding five thousands men(excluding women and children) is so intriguing,  especially as *everyone received a  satisfying portion.* But more intriguing than those that received was the little boy who gave ALL HIS LUNCH PACK to Jesus.

Permit me to share some intriguing virtues of this Lad:

1. *He followed Jesus :* It was recorded that a large crowd followed Jesus(albeit for varied reasons), but this little boy was one of the people that followed Jesus not only to be fed physically but to be led by Him.

Following Jesus is not age bias. While children of His age(or even older)  may be preoccupied with other youthful exorbitants, this lad followed Jesus so closely to the point that he could be noticed among crowd.

Are you really following Jesus?  Or are you just among the multitude who seek Jesus simply for miracles?

Are you following Him closely enough for Him to know you or are you just lost in the crowd(of the church goers)???

2. *He gave his All :*  Obviously,  Jesus didn't tell this boy what He intends to do with his lunch,  He simply ordered that the people should be seated and the boy's lunch was collected.

Note that :

a)  This boy didn't complain nor resist though he lacked full knowledge of what his food would be used for.  He simply let go.

*Have you been resisting God's demands on your life?*  It's time to let go,  so He can have the platform to beautify your life. If He is asking for your "five loaves and two fish", you better hurry and let go of it so you might be a channel of blessing to generations and still have twelve basket full of left overs.

b)  *He gave it All :* The boy didn't play smart with

Jesus by keeping back part if the loaves or the fish,  the way Ananias and Sapphira did.  This couple were popular for the wrong reasons. They were playing smart with the Holy Spirit. They wanted to appear before the people of God as generous, yet they do not have the heart of giving their "ALL" to Jesus. Acts 5: 1-10.

In the Spirit realm,  to gain life, you have to lose it. To get is to give. Because whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and for the gospel will save it.Mark 8:35 ISV.

*Give your All to Him today,  therein lies rest and much abundance* .

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

THE GREATEST

Text : Matthew 18:4   *Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.*   *Being the greatest in the kingdom is not about what you do but who you are.* Jesus pointed out here that little children are humble beings. Hence, what qualifies a person as the greatest in the kingdom of heaven is humility. Little children are both lowly and meek. These are qualities that does not come naturally to an adult. For instance, when you bring a little child from a wealthy background to live in a very poor home with another poor little child, he will gladly comply without any struggle. He will never complain or compare. He will simply adapt and gladly receive all the low and impoverished treatments. No adult or grown up child can accept this so easily.  That is the reason Jesus did not ask us to be converted and become as a child but ' *little child* '   _And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be co...
