DONT MURMUR

_Follow His Voice channel_   👇   https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbCMZTK2f3EJoVXjd408 His Voice Devotional Text: 1 Corinthians 10:10. “Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.” The children of Israel experienced the mighty power and faithfulness of God. He delivered them from Egypt, opened the Red Sea before them, provided food from heaven, gave them water from the rock, and guided them through the wilderness.  Yet, despite all these wonderful acts of God, they repeatedly complained and murmured against Him. Whenever the children of Israel murmured, it was recorded that their murmuring was ultimately against God. In Numbers 14:27, God said:  *“How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.”*  This is a serious warning for every believer. Sometimes we think we are only complaining about our cir...

LEAVE THE GARMENT

His Voice Devotional Text: Gen. 39:12   ...she caught him by his garment, saying, "Lie with me." But he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside.*  Genesis chapter 39 mentioned Joseph's 'garment' five (5) times. In the same frequency, Genesis chapter 37 mentioned Joseph's 'coat' five(5) times. There must be something peculiar about Joseph's coat and his garment that the scripture had to mention them five (5) times each. Joseph was stripped off of his coat of many colours and his garment. In the case of the coat, it was forcefully taken off from him. (Gen. 37:23); but he left the  garment in the hands of Potiphar's wife willingly. (Gen. 39:12). Putting the two scriptures above side by side, it will read thus:  _"....they stripped Joseph of his tunic, the tunic of many colors that was on him....he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside. (Genesis 37:23 & 39:12)._  In the coming days, we shall be looking at th...

IMPORTUNITY

This Greek word means shamelessness, boldness audacity, lack of embarrassment, persistence that refuses to be put off.  To vividly explain how to be persistent in prayers, Jesus Christ gave an analogy of a man who went to his friend at midnight wanting to borrow three loaves of bread in order to entertain his own friend.  Jesus said that suppose the man's friend calls out from his bedroom saying, 'Don't bother me. The door is locked for the night, and my family and I are all in bed. I can't help you. But I tell you this—though he won't do it for friendship's sake, *if y...

STUBBORNNESS

God speaks to us in many ways. He speaks through His Word, the Holy Spirit, through wise counsel from parents, pastors, friends, and at times, through  difficult circumstances.  At times, He speaks to correct us. His correction is an expression of His love. His correction is meant to guide us away from danger and into His purpose. Proverbs 29:1 warns against repeatedly rejecting corrections. A person who continually refuses to listen becomes spiritually hardened. Over time, that stubbornness can lead to consequences that arrive suddenly and may be difficult to reverse.  God is patient, but His warnings are not meant to be ignored indefinitely. A teachable spirit is a mark of wisdom. Instead of becoming def...

Sometimes, you may feel like quitting or giving up, because life can be very pressing and demanding. As a child of God, you must know that your end point is not and cannot be God's end point. Your scarcity and limitation is not your reality in God. There is no scarcity and limitation in God. The widow of the prophet whose husband had just died, is now being confronted with the assault and social embarrassment of recovery officers from the creditor where her husband borrowed from. They were going to take away her two sons, and perhaps turn them to slave in order to pay their ...

"She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what He said." A true follower of the LORD Jesus Christ must embrace friendship with Jesus Christ on a three-level platform. As such, a follower must be a Worker, Worshipper, and Waiter.  We have looked at a  Worker and a Worshipper. Today, we shall be considering who a Waiter is. The three friends of Jesus are Worker (Martha), Worshipper(Mary) and Waiter(Lazarus). Lazarus had died, and he had no hope of rising again until and unless Jesus came for him. Lazarus was a friend to Jesus and he loved him.  These things said he: and after that he said unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleeps; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.(John  11:11). A Waiter is anyone who always waits on Jesus Christ for help and deliverance.  A Waiter i...

A WORSHIPPER

_Follow our channel_   👇   https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbCMZTK2f3EJoVXjd408     His Voice Devotional Text :  Luke 10:39. "She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what He said."*   Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus, stands in Scripture as a beautiful picture of a true worshipper. While Martha was busy serving and attending to many responsibilities, Mary chose to sit at the feet of Jesus, listening attentively to His words.  Jesus Himself described her choice as "that good part" which would not be taken away from her (Luke 10:42). A worshipper is not merely one who sings songs or plays musical instruments in church meetings. A worshipper is one who values the presence of God above every other pursuit. Worship begins when the heart is captivated by God and desires to be in  fellowship with Him more than anything else. Interestingly, whenever Mary appears in the  Scripture, she is found at t...

STOP LISTENING TO LIES 2

_Follow our channel_   👇   https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbCMZTK2f3EJoVXjd408     His Voice Devotional Text :  John 8:44.  You belong to your father the devil, and you want to carry out the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and has never stood for truth, since there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks in character, because he is a liar and the father of lies.*  The enemy understands that he cannot stop God's plan for your life unless he first influences your thoughts. That is why Satan's greatest weapon is deception. Once the enemy is able to mess with your belief-system, then, he can easily get hold of you.  Hebrews 11:6 says, *Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who diligently search for him.* You must have faith in God and you must keep believing that He is, because He truly is. Satan plan...

He was a murderer from the beginning and has never stood for truth, since there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks in character, because he is a liar and the father of lies. The devil doesn't just tell lies, he is lies personified. When he tells a lie, he speaks his native language, because he is the originator of lies. Today, God the Father will have me tell you to stop listening to the lies of the devil. He is crafty in making men believe that God doesn't really love them. God loves you so much that He allowed His beloved son to die in your place (John 3:16). When Jesus was taking all the cruelty and untold sufferings, both Him (Jesus Christ) and the Father had you in mind. You are not a lost number among t...

NOT ASHAMED OF JESUS

_Follow our channel_   👇   https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbCMZTK2f3EJoVXjd408     Text: Mark 8:38. “If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes with the holy angels in his Father’s glory.”*  We live in a world that increasingly celebrates everything except Christ.  In many circles, speaking about Jesus is considered uncivilized, fanatical, or even offensive. The pressure to remain silent or passive  about our faith is real.  Many believers find it easier to discuss politics, sports, business, and entertainment than to openly identify with Jesus and His teachings. Yet, Jesus reminds us that our relationship with Him is not something to hide. He is not a religious figure; He is the King of kings, the Lord of lords, and the Creator and Sustainer of all things. To belong to Him is the greatest honor anyone can ever receive. The challenge in Mar...

DISCIPLES AND AUTHORITY 3

Then Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority over unclean spirits, so that they could drive them out and heal every disease and every illness. There is another important lesson hidden in this text. The ability to exercise your spiritual authority is not necessarily a proof of a right relationship with God. Among the twelve disciples who received authority to cast out devils and heal the sick was Judas Iscariot. As commanded by the Lord Jesus, Judas Iscariot also went out to preach, cast out devils and heal the sick. He did all these while he was also stealing from the purse. (John 12:6). Like the others, he was sent out, he  preached the kingdom, and he participated in the miraculous works that followed. Yet Judas later betrayed the very Master who gave him the authority. This serves as a sobering ...

DISCIPLES AND AUTHORITY 2

Then Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority over unclean spirits, so that they could drive them out and heal every disease and every illness.*  We established yesterday that a disciple of Christ is not merely someone who professes faith in Jesus; a disciple is one who has been called to follow Him, learn from Him, and represent Him on earth.  This passage clearly reminds us that every believer has been given spiritual authority through Christ. The authority of the believer is not based on personal merit, spiritual maturity, or human ability. It is a delegated authority that comes from our relationship with Jesus.  He has equipped His followers to confront the works of darkness and demonstrate the reality of God's kingdom. However, it is one thing to possess authority, and it's another th...

Then Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority over unclean spirits, so that they could drive them out and heal every disease and every illness.  Jesus did not merely call His disciples to be spectators; He called them to be participants in His mission.  After calling the twelve to Himself, He entrusted them with authority over unclean spirits and power to minister healing to those who were suffering.  This reveals an important truth: *God's calling is always accompanied by God's empowerment.*  A disciple is one who follows Jesus, learns from Him, obeys His teachings, and represents Him in this world.  When Christ calls us, He does not leave us helpless. He equips us with spiritual authority to stand against the works of darkness. This authority belongs to Christ, but He delegates...

ULTIMATE HOPE

TEXT:1 Corinthians 15:19  *“If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.”*  Many people follow God only because of what they can gain on earth, -money, fame, protection, success, or connections, children, husband, wife etc. But Christianity is much deeper than earthly benefits.   *Our ultimate hope as a Christian is eternal life through Jesus Christ.*  The apostle Paul  reminds believers that if our hope in Christ ends with this present world alone, then we are the most miserable people on earth. Why? Because following Christ sometimes requires sacrifice, endurance, discipline, and persecution. Without the hope of eternity, such sacrifices would seem meaningless. As believers, our eyes must remain fixed on eternity. Earthly achievements are temporary, but the kingdom of God is everlasting. Houses, cars, titles, and wealth will all pass away someday, but our relationship with Christ and the reward of eternal life is what wil...

STANDBY FOR AN INSTRUCTION

Still on the event that took place at the wedding in Cana of Galilee,   Mary had told the servants (the service boys) at the wedding to do whatsoever Jesus would say unto them. After Mary had told the servants to wait on Jesus' instructions, she must have left the scene, knowing fully well that the servants would carry out the instruction to the letter. The servants became waiters, as they waited on Jesus for the very next instruction He would give them. Immediately after Mary left the servants, Jesus commanded the servants to fill up the water pots and asked them, "Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast." Behold, the water had turned to wine....

DO HIS INSTRUCTION

WEDNESDAY, 13th MAY 2026* TEXT: John 2:5   His mother saith unto the servants, "Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. Mary, the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, went to Him during the wedding ceremony in Cana of Galilee for a request. She told Jesus that the wine had been exhausted. Mary knew the implication of the wine finishing during a wedding, so she decided to save the day.  It appears Jesus did not give Mary a positive response. He said to her, "Woman, what have I to do with thee? My time is not yet come." This was more like receiving a "NO" in prayer, but if you look at Jesus' response critically, you will realize it is rather a timing matter. There is God's timing. Don’t forget this.  Mary left Jesus and went straight to the servants, telling them to wait on Jesus for an instruction. She said to them, "Whatsoever He says to you, DO IT!" Many of the prayer points we often pray to God are born out of disobedience. I mean, they are a resul...

IN DUE SEASON

Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing.  As God's steward, it is very important for you to know and understand what "Due Season" is. It is the appropriate time for distribution of meat. The Master (the Lord Jesus Christ) expects that whatever good works you do must be done in due season. The timing of the service that you render to God and man is very crucial. For instance, King Saul brought the Israelites under an oath and asked them to fast at the wrong time. Meanwhile, the soldiers actually needed to have eaten in order for them to attain a greater victory. (1 King 28:30).  *Ability to discern "Due Season" is the direct effect of being a faithful and wise servant.*  Simeon knew the due season to enter ...

Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing.  *As a Steward, you must not only be faithful but you must be wise.* While faithfulness will make you deal according to the terms and expectations of the Master (the LORD Jesus Christ), wisdom will help you know how to go about what He expects of you.  A wise servant is one who faithfully carries out his master's instructions according to his master's terms and  expectations - the 'what', the 'how', and the 'when'. One of the responsibilities wherein the master expects a servant to be faithful and wise in, is in giving meat to His household in due season.  While every believer is a servant, all believers are the household of the Master. The meat is the word ...
