His Voice Devotional

Text :  John 8:44.

You belong to your father the devil, and you want to carry out the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and has never stood for truth, since there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks in character, because he is a liar and the father of lies.

The devil doesn't just tell lies, he is lies personified. When he tells a lie, he speaks his native language, because he is the originator of lies.

Today, God the Father will have me tell you to stop listening to the lies of the devil. He is crafty in making men believe that God doesn't really love them.

God loves you so much that He allowed His beloved son to die in your place (John 3:16). When Jesus was taking all the cruelty and untold sufferings, both Him (Jesus Christ) and the Father had you in mind. You are not a lost number among the crowd, you are special to Him, and He is intentional about you. He loves you.

As a matter of fact, I have to suspend the devotional that has been written for today to obey His commands in passing this truth to you today. Everything the devil has told you about God are lies.

Unfortunately, the devil is speaking and you can hear him. If he spoke to our first parents in the garden of Eden, and if he spoke to our Lord Jesus Christ in the wilderness, then, you should know that he is also speaking to you. But, much more than this, God is speaking to you too as well. Choose to hear God and shun the lies of the devil.

So, it's not about what the devil is speaking, it is more about what you are doing with what he is saying. For every lies he propagates, there is the truth of God's word to nullify it.

The devil will cook all kinds of lies to make you agree with him that God is not good to you. The book of Psalms echoes it over and over that God is good and His mercy endures forever. Our Lord Jesus Christ says in Mark 10:18 that no one is good but *God Himself.*

Stop listening to the lies of the devil, God is good, and He is good to you (regardless of your situation). Because we know that *all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose(Romans 8:28).* .

The devil is working tooth and nail to make you believe that God is not Almighty after all. He will paint all the evils happening in our world before you so you can believe that if God was powerful, He wouldn't have permitted so much evils in our space.

The devil wants to push you to a point where you will agree with him that God is not mighty or powerful enough to deter the mishaps in your life.

Well, you have to stop listening to his lies. God doesn't need to proof anything to you, but He has put Himself in everything you see to make you know and believe that He is God and He is the Almighty.

The fact that you are reading this today is a proof that God is Almighty because, the devil tried everything to stop you from reading this message.

*GOD LOVES YOU. GOD IS WORKING EVERYTHING OUT FOR YOUR GOOD BECAUSE HE IS THE ALMIGHTY, THE ALL-POWERFUL.*

 *Bible Reading:*

Psalms 136:1-26.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

Father God, I thank you because you are a good God and Father unto me. Thank you because I know you are big and mighty to save and deliver in all situation in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

WHEN GOD IS SILENT(2)

Text: Matthew 4:1  *Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.*  We saw yesterday that God was not pleased with many israelites that left Egypt for the promised land  (Corinthians 10:5).  A good percentage of the Israelites were overthrown in the wilderness.   Wilderness experience is not what any child of God desires, but it is an experience God sends or allows his children go through. In Deuteronomy 8:2, God says that He *LED* the Isrealites through the wilderness for forty years to humble them, to prove them, and to know what was in their heart whether they would keep his commandments or not.  Our Lord Jesus Christ was also *LED* into the wilderness by the Spirit of the Lord to be tempted by the devil. You will  notice there is a similar feature of the number *40(forty)* between these two wilderness experiences. That is, that of the Israelites and our Lord Jesus Christ. The Israelites spent 40years, Jesu...
