His Voice Devotional

Text :  John 8:44. 

You belong to your father the devil, and you want to carry out the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and has never stood for truth, since there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks in character, because he is a liar and the father of lies.* 

The enemy understands that he cannot stop God's plan for your life unless he first influences your thoughts. That is why Satan's greatest weapon is deception.

Once the enemy is able to mess with your belief-system, then, he can easily get hold of you. 

Hebrews 11:6 says, *Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who diligently search for him.* You must have faith in God and you must keep believing that He is, because He truly is.

Satan plants lies in the minds of believers and hopes they will accept them as truth.
He whispers things like, "God has abandoned you," "Your prayers are not working," "You will never change," "Your situation is hopeless," or "You are not good enough." 

These thoughts may sound convincing, especially during difficult seasons, but they do not come from God. The devil is a liar, and every lie he tells is designed to steal your faith, peace, joy, and confidence in God.

The way to overcome lies is by filling your heart with God's Word. Jesus defeated Satan's temptations in the wilderness by declaring, "It is written..." 

Truth exposes deception just as light drives away darkness. When you know what God says about you, the lies of the enemy lose their power. So, you can't afford not to read, study and meditate on the word.

Do not make decisions based on fears, feelings, or negative voices. Measure every thought against the Word of God. If it contradicts God's promises, reject it immediately. 
Choose to believe God's truth even when circumstances suggest otherwise.

Today, refuse to entertain the enemy's lies. Stand firmly on God's Word and declare what God has said concerning your life. The truth will always triumph over lies.

I challenge you to take up this exercise today - Identify one negative thought you have been believing and replace it with a specific promise from God's Word. Meditate on that promise throughout the day.

 *PRAYER FOCUS* 

Father God, help me to recognize and reject every lie of the enemy. Fill my heart with your truth and strengthen my faith in your Word in Jesus name.

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life.
