Text: Daniel 11:32 Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. The year 2023 shall be your year of great exploit in Jesus name. God has proclaimed it and it is confirmed by His prophet. All you need do is to believe the Lord and his prophet. Then, you shall prosper and be established.  "...Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper"   2 Chronicles  20:20  From our study text, it is clear that before you can carry out great exploit, you must know your God.  Before we look at how you can know your God, let's quickly look at what great exploit is. Exploit is a heroic or extraordinary deed. Great exploit then is an exceptional heroic or extraordinary deed.  Jesus Christ is our model. While on earth, he was a mighty man in deed and in word. Text: Matthew 17:21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." Yesterday we considered the major and general factor(unbelief) that  mskes your hardcore situation to remain.  Today, we shall be looking at the specific steps that is required of you to get rid of stubborn and hardcore problems in your life. Jesus referred to this type of situation that is resistant to change as - "...this kind". Our Lord Jesus Christ told his disciples that there are certain demons that will not leave except by prayer and fasting. Basically, one major and general requirement for casting out devils is simply by believing in  the name of Jesus.  Mark 16:17 says " *And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons..."*  By implication, a day old believer should be able to cast out devils.  Jesus however stressed that there are kinds of devils that requires a deeper devotional life in God to deal with.  Every believe

You might have been experiencing some hardcore situations in your life for a long time, it is now time you take a drastic action against such, even as you prepare to enter into the year 2023.  You must know that Jesus is always near to deliver you from every hardcore and long standing problems. You shall not enter 2023 with any assault from the pit of hell in Jesus name. Jesus' disciples were confronted with such hardcore problem at a point when He was absent. Jesus and three of his disciples had gone up to Mount of transfiguration. While on the mount, a man had brought his son to the remaining nine(9) disciples so they can help cast out the demon troubling his son. Yesterday, we established that in Matthew 11:28, Jesus offers to give whoever comes to Him rest, and in verse 29, He offers those who  come to Him a path leading to a rested life. Some years back, my brother gave me a palm-top. I was not just grateful for this gift, I was beside myself with excitement. However, reality soon dawn on  me as I realised that I  don't have a clue as to how to operate this gadget. In no time, the excitement fizzled away and I eventually had to dump the gift. Now, the problem was never with the palm-top, but with my lack of knowledge as to how to operate it. Text : Matthew 11:28. “Come to me, all of you who are weary and loaded down with burdens, and I will give you rest" The invitation to rest that Jesus Christ gave in Matthe w 11:28 was in two folds. First He said,  “Come to me, all of you who are weary and loaded down with burdens, and I will give you rest.  This call is to everybody. Whoever goes to Him, will be given rest. This is the kind of rest that will flood your heart and life the moment you accept Christ into your life as your personal Lord and  Saviour.  If you have never experienced this kind of rest which is expressed in inexplicable joy and peace, then you sincerely need to come to Jesus now for the cleansing flood. And He will give you a new life. There's a kind of peace and joy that only comes with a new birth in Christ Jesus. Have you experienced this Joy? Text : Matthew 2:2. “Where is the one who was born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.” Herod was the sitting king when Jesus was born. Naturally, the birth of another king was a threat to him and his throne. When King Herod heard this, he was disturbed, as was all of Jerusalem._ Matthew 2:3. Before you encountered Jesus, there were powers (forces) reigning in your life as king, they know beyond doubt that the presence of Jesus in your life will dethrone them, so they will do everything to make you loose what you have. BEWARE!!! King Herod planned to kill Jesus, but hear what he told the wise men, He told them; “As you go, search carefully for the child. When you find him, tell me so that I, too, may go and worship him.” Matthew 2:8. If the enemy introduced himself to you as enemy and told you he's out to kill you, you'll obviously keep your distance, but the real enemies are those that came as friends.

  Text : Matthew  2:1    *Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,*     Obviously, there was no car as at the time Jesus was born, their major means of transportation was by feet or on camels. According to Bible scholars,  the distance between Bethlehem where Jesus was born and the east where the visiting wise men came from was about 400 miles.  Invariably, it took these wise men three weeks journey or more (if they travelled on camels) just so they can pay homage to the new born king. Yet people that lived in the same town as Him did not even know that a king was born.  Just like in the days of the Magi, *it takes only wise men to know that a king was born, and it takes only wise men to worship Him.*  The birth of Jesus was prophesied long before He came, many were actually expecting Him in Isreal at that time, yet, when He came, they didn't recognise Him nor worship Him. Text : Job 1:8. Then the LORD asked Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one like him on earth. The man is blameless as well as upright. He fears God and keeps away from evil.” Though Job had a great testimony in the presence of God, yet he was oblivious of this. He did not know what God was doing with his life. Knowing the testimony that God has about you is very important. This will always keep your head covered in the days of battle.  Job and his friends were in the dark about God's dealings in the life of Job. At the appearance of the Lord, the very first question He asked  Job in Job 38:2 was  "Who is this that darkens, counsel by words without knowledge? The ways and dealings of God on earth is past findings. He is not answerable to anyone. He owes no one.  In Job 33:13, Elihu says, "Why do you contend with Him(God)? When the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. It was at this time, the Lord testified about Job as His servant; a perfect and an upright man, one that fears God, and shuns evil, and still he holds fast his integrity in the face of great challenge. Though Job never sinned against God all through the time of his ordeals, yet He couldn't see the workings of God in his life at this time Job's case can be likened to many of God's children today; they are oblivious of God's workings in their lives. But the LORD would have you trust in His judgement above all else.  You must settle it in your heart that God's   thoughts towards you are thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Text :Job 38:2  Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?   There are times when you are just clueless about a particular situation in your life, or even about your whole life.  At such times, when you are being confronted with  unprecedented circumstances,  the question that easily comes to mind is: "Lord, why me?"  Instead of asking why you, you need grace to focus on the Lord's testimony about you. If you can't get His testimony about you, you will be in the dark  not knowing exactly what God is doing with your life just like Job. Job, a man from the East, who lived in the land of Uz, probably must have lived during the time of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as some scholars established it. The bible affirmed God's testimony about him as an upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil. God said that there is  none like Job on the earth"  (Job 1:8). Well, the answer is very simple, channel all the efforts you expend on getting perishable bread to getting the unperishable bread.  People do unprintable things so as to get perishable goods, but same set of people can't sit down for one hour to hear the word of truth. Text : 1 Samuel 18:14  And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the LORD was with him. Solomon, the Son of king David asked for wisdom and understanding when He was enthroned as the successor of his Father.  "Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?" For Solomon to be asking for understanding simply affirms the fact that King David (his father) must have been a man of great wisdom and understanding himself. David had always been making a constant practice of walking in wisdom and understanding long before he became the King of Israel. That was the difference between David and Solomon. It is better to daily make a practice of leadership lifestyle, than to acquire one at the point of emergence as a leader. Text : 1 Samuel 18:14  And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the LORD was with him. Everyone needs wisdom for daily living. To live to a full old age and fulfil destiny,  you need wisdom. David was a man whom God had chosen to be king over His people Isreal, and he  has been anointed to this effect.  Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the presence of his brothers, and the Spirit of the LORD came on David from that day forward. Then Samuel got up and went to Ramah. 1 Samuel 16:13. That is, not only was David anointed,  the Spirit of Lord also came over him. Yet, if he had not behaved himself wisely, he would have died before his time. After God had used David to bring down Goliath and all Philistines that were huge threat to Saul and the whole of Isreal,  one would think Saul would be eternally grateful to David for this great feat. But instead of gratitude, Saul developed great jealousy against his help

Man has been cultured by satan through sin to believe that he can't be perfect. This belief is so entrenched in the soul of man that even when he becomes born again he still believes that it's impossible for man to be perfect.  This is a well thought out ploy by the devil to make human kind live in perpetual disobedience to God. Because He told us expressly to be perfect.  Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.Matthew 5:48. If this was an impossible task, Jesus wouldn't have commanded us to do it. Text: James 4:3  You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend [it] on your pleasures. Today, we shall be looking at one major reason why people ask amiss.  Our text above clearly shows that people ask amiss because they ask to spend it on their own pleasures.   Whenever you ask for anything from the Lord in order to spend on your own pleasures, you have asked amiss.  True request that touches God's heart   must be that which is centered on His own  pleasure and glory; and not on your own cravings or desires.  Every child of God must understand that  their needs are not just about them anymore.  Having been translated into God's kingdom, your need/want is no longer about your mere desires, but about giving glory to God. Text: 1 Peter 3:3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; ....But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. 1 Peter 3:4. Wisdom demands that women invest more on the adorning of the hidden man of the heart, that is, the inner being much more than the adorning of the outward being only, the externals.  While the former adorning is corruptible, the latter is incorruptible. So, if you are given to expensive adorning of the outward man at the expense of the inner being, you would have expended so much on that which is corruptible. While external adorning is not being condemned by the bible, it is worthy to note that every woman is expected to pay keen attention to the adorning of their inner man.
