JOB'S TESTIMONY-3

Text : Job 1:8.

Then the LORD asked Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one like him on earth. The man is blameless as well as upright. He fears God and keeps away from evil.”

Though Job had a great testimony in the presence of God, yet he was oblivious of this. He did not know what God was doing with his life.

Knowing the testimony that God has about you is very important. This will always keep your head covered in the days of battle.

Job and his friends were in the dark about God's dealings in the life of Job. At the appearance of the Lord, the very first question He asked  Job in Job 38:2 was  "Who is this that darkens, counsel by words without knowledge?

The ways and dealings of God on earth is past findings. He is not answerable to anyone. He owes no one.

In Job 33:13, Elihu says, "Why do you contend with Him(God)? For He does not give an accounting of any of His words.

You must be very cautious never to tarnish or behave contrary to God's testimony about you.* Imagine God had told Job about the ordeal he was going through,he would simply have kept his mouth shut.  He wouldn't have replied the allegations and accusations of his friends.

It was rather quite unfortunate that Job was never in the know. He never sought to know the mind of God. He was only defending Himself.

Are you being confronted with any challenge today?

Are you being pressed by the enemy?

Are you going through any unpalatable situation?

Are you finding it difficult to arrange the puzzle of life you are in now?

Then, it is time to focus on Jesus. Seek to know His mind. But be rest assured that regardless of your situation, His thoughts towards you are good and never evil.

Bible Reading :Job 32:1-22.

PRAYER FOCUS

Father God, help me to know your mind concerning me and concerning the situation I'm going through that I may apply my heart to wisdom.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
