INNER BEAUTY-2

Text: 1 Peter 3:3
Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

....But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. 1 Peter 3:4.

Wisdom demands that women invest more on the adorning of the hidden man of the heart, that is, the inner being much more than the adorning of the outward being only, the externals.

While the former adorning is corruptible, the latter is incorruptible. So, if you are given to expensive adorning of the outward man at the expense of the inner being, you would have expended so much on that which is corruptible.

While external adorning is not being condemned by the bible, it is worthy to note that every woman is expected to pay keen attention to the adorning of their inner man. This is where real beauty flows from!

We shall be considering the two ornaments that God wants every woman to wear. The first one is the ornament of a meek spirit.

Though every child of God must be indwelt by meek spirit, yet it is a special ornament for a christian woman.

A woman who is not meek will be contentious. She wants to argue and iron out every issue with her husband or anyone for that matter. She is constantly given to strife.

Proverbs 21:19 says   It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.

A meek spirit would make a wife submits herself to her husband unreservedly. Just like Jesus, a wife; though being heirs together of the grace of life with the husband, she should not think of equality with her husband as something to cling to (1Peter 3:7, Philippians 2:6).

Philippians 2:6 says Though he (Jesus) was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.

The only means by which a woman finds it easy to submit to her husband is simply by adorning herself with meek spirit.

Meek expression which flows from meek spirit would always make a woman submit to her husband unreservedly.

May you find grace and expression to start showing a new display of beauty to your husband going forward in Jesus name.

BIBLE READING: 1 Peter 3:1-6.

PRAYER FOCUS
1. Father, help me to cooperate with you on the adorning of my inner man with meek and quiet spirit.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
