Text: Luke 15:7

I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

Our God is a missionary God, and He has sent us His missionary Son, to rescue our world from sin, satan and death. And while departing from this world, He  handed down the mission of calling in sinners into His kingdom to you as His disciple. (2Cor. 5:19).

Jesus Christ came into this world to seek and save the lost. Being the Son of God, He knew exactly what it means when a sinner repents. He knows too well what the reactions of the angels in the presence of God would be when a sinner turns to God- Great Joy!

Joy is the very expression of all the angels that stand in God's presence when repentance takes place.

Another striking point about the joy in heaven is the comparison of the Joy that occurs over a sinner that repents than the just persons who need no repentance.

There is more joy in heaven because of one sinner that repents than many just persons who need no repentance.

It is therefore clear that if you want to see greater rejoicing in heaven on your account, then you must join the Jesus' missionary band. You must go where the sinners are. You must love to reach out to sinners. You must labour to see sinners turn away from sin unto God.

As a believer, you need to be very intentional about your service unto God. You must see to it that you do things that cause angels in God's presence to rejoice.

Hence, Daniel wrote *"...they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever." (Daniel 12:3).*

It is clear that great shall be the reward and rejoicing of those that constantly bring joy to heaven.

*BIBLE READING:*

Luke 15:1-7.

 *PRAYER FOCUS:*

Father LORD, give me the grace to always reach out to the sinners, that their repentance might bring Joy to you and the heavens.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
