TEXT: Hebrews 5:12

*“In fact, though by now you should be teachers, you still need someone to teach you the basic truths of God’s word. You have become people who need milk instead of solid food.”*

There are foundational truths in the kingdom of God that every believer is expected to know and live by. These are not deep mysteries, but simple, basic principles that reflect a transformed life.

As a child of God, no one needs to remind you that lying, stealing, cheating, fornication, adultery, fighting, gossiping, and similar acts are not consistent with kingdom living. These are elementary truths that should already be settled in your heart.

The presence of the Holy Spirit in you is your internal guide. He convicts, corrects, and directs you into righteous living. If you are truly yielded to Him, you will naturally discern what is right and what is wrong without constant external correction.

Romans 8:16 tells us that “the Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” This means that *the Holy Spirit affirms our identity in Christ to us in our hearts and also aligns our behavior with that identity.*

Spiritual growth is not optional, it is a necessity. God expects us to move beyond spiritual infancy (milk) into maturity (solid food). A believer who refuses to grow will remain vulnerable to deception and spiritual instability.

Just as new born babies crave for milk, a genuinely converted child of God will crave for the truth of God's words. Once this desire is there, God will quench your thirst through the help of the Holy Spirit in you and you will grow to know the difference between right and wrong.( Hebrews 5:13).

Beloved, you must intentionally grow in your walk with God. Study the Word, obey the Spirit, and allow your life to reflect the basic truths of the kingdom daily.

 *BIBLE READING:*

Hebrews 5:11–14.

 *PRAYER FOCUS:*

Father, I receive the grace to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Help me to live by the basic truths of Your Word and walk in spiritual maturity, in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
