MY HOUSE

TEXT: Matthew 21:13

And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

One major feature that must distinguish God's house from other houses is Prayer! God's house is a house of prayer. Though many other religions also uphold the tenet of prayer, but the only house where communication takes place between the very creator of heaven and the earth and man is the house of God, which is the church of God.

This church is not a building but any place where two or more believers in Christ Jesus gather unto Him.
*For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. (Matthew 18:20).*

So, it's clear that it's not every place of worship that you can call the house of God. When you see any gathering of people, to certify such gathering as God's house, you need to ask- is the LORD in their midst? or are they gathered unto the LORD? Is it indeed a house of prayer or den of thieves?

You may see a gigantic building with the name of church on it, but if the Lord is not there, then it's a den of thieves. Many buildings have been raised in the name of church, all just to be serving as den of thieves.

A house of prayer is any place where there is a ladder that connects the people on earth to the Father God in heaven.

Many years ago, Jacob, while running away from his brother, Esau. He stopped by in a certain place to sleep over for the night. He had a dream where he saw a ladder set up on the earth and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold, angels of God were ascending and descending on the ladder. The scriptures highlighted that the LORD is above the ladder.

In fear, Jacob said, "...How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven."

It is very clear that what Jacob saw is what the house of Prayer should look like. *The house of God, the gate of heaven, the house of Prayer and the church of God are synonymous. Can your local assembly be called any of these as well?.*

Please note that the house of prayer is not just a church where prayer  goes on 24/7, but a house that has a connecting  ladder upon which angels ascend and descend, and the LORD is above it.

The house of God or house of prayer is a house where people (believers) send information, requests or decrees to heaven, they receive response and they serve the interest of the LORDSHIP of Christ who is above the ladder.

A church that genuinely prays is one that hears what the LORD is saying, and is always willing to obey His commands.

We need to bring back the house of prayer into our churches today. Ananias and Sapphira fell down and died at the instance of lie- telling. They told a lie under an atmosphere that is fully charged with angelic presence and the LORD.

This couple wanted to hide in the church like it's a den of thieves, but the Holy Spirit spilled them out because the house was the house of God, a house of prayer and a gate of heaven. Hence unclean thing can not enter therein.

May the Lord purge His church once again from all unclean and defiling things in Jesus name.

 *BIBLE READING:*

Genesis 28:11-19.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

Father Lord purge your church once again from all defiling things in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
