BE A GOOD EXAMPLE

TEXT: 1 Timothy 4:12.

“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

God is looking for willing vessels who will represent Him well here on earth. In a world where standards are falling and where compromise is common, believers are called to stand out as living examples of Christ.

Apostle Paul instructed Timothy not to allow anyone to look down on him because of his youth. Instead of arguing, and proving himself by force, or seeking validation from men, Timothy was to prove his maturity through character. *Your lifestyle should silence criticism and not validate it.*

Being a good example begins with your words. What you say must reflect Christ. Speak life, speak truth, and speak with grace. Your conversation, that is, your daily conduct,  should align with your confession of faith.

*Christianity is not only what we declare in church; it is what we demonstrate at home, at work, and in public.*

Maturity in the faith is shown through charity. Showing genuine love to people is a good proof of your Christianity. You can't claim to love God if you don't love the people of God.

1John 4:20 says, *Whoever says, “I love God,” but hates his brother is a liar. The one who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love the God whom he has not seen.*

Let your spirit reflect humility and patience. In faith, trust God even when situations are uncertain. In purity, guard your heart, your thoughts, and your body.

God is faithful and just in all His ways. When we understand His character, we will gladly love to reflect Him correctly.

People may not read the Bible, but they are reading your life every day.
As believers, we are ambassadors of Christ. Let your life draw others closer to God, not push them away from Him. Be intentional. Be consistent. Be Christ-like.

Your lifestyle today may be someone else's reason to believe tomorrow. *We have many bad examples of believers as it were, please don't add to the statistics. Be a good example of a believer.*

1 Timothy 4:12-16.

 *PRAYER FOCUS:*

Father, please help me to represent You faithfully in my words, actions, love, faith, and purity. Let my life reflect Your character and draw others to You daily In Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
