BE READY

TEXT: Matthew 24:44

*Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.* 

The return of our Lord Jesus Christ is both certain and imminent. It is therefore very important for us to keep reminding ourselves from time to time while we have the gift of life and the privilege of being in Him to get ready and stay ready.

As a believer, we must not commit the same error that people in the generation of Noah committed. The LORD sent Noah to them to turn from their evil ways, and  He gave them salvation opportunity through the ark, but they refused to enter and they all perished. 

If you are reading this devotional right now, and 
you know that you are not in the ark of salvation or you were once in the ark but you have exited. This is the right time to do the needful.

There is always the right time for  the salvation of sinners, backsliders and hypocrites and the right time is *NOW!*  

 *"... _Now_ is the accepted time; behold, _now_ is the day of salvation." (2 Corinthians 6:2)*.

 *Now* is the day to get rid of your hidden and besetting sins and to get right with the Lord.

 *Now* is the day to give forgiveness and to loose all your offenders that you've locked  up in your  heart for many years. 

 *Now* is the day of salvation. and His word  is saying, "...If you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts." (Hebrews 4:7).

If the voice of the Lord is speaking to.your heart to make adjustments in your life *now* , then go ahead and make it. 

*Now* is the time to get yourself ready for the Lord's visitation this year .

 *PRAYER FOCUS:* 

Father LORD, I receive grace to obey the instruction you are giving me Now.

WHEN GOD IS SILENT(2)

Text: Matthew 4:1  *Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.*  We saw yesterday that God was not pleased with many israelites that left Egypt for the promised land  (Corinthians 10:5).  A good percentage of the Israelites were overthrown in the wilderness.   Wilderness experience is not what any child of God desires, but it is an experience God sends or allows his children go through. In Deuteronomy 8:2, God says that He *LED* the Isrealites through the wilderness for forty years to humble them, to prove them, and to know what was in their heart whether they would keep his commandments or not.  Our Lord Jesus Christ was also *LED* into the wilderness by the Spirit of the Lord to be tempted by the devil. GULLIBLE BUT INTELLIGENT
