Text : Matthew 9:36.
*When he saw the crowds, he was deeply moved with compassion for them, because they were troubled and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.*
We live in a hurting world. Ever since the fall of man, everyone has been damaged in one way or the other. The difference is, the degree of damage varies from person to person based on both internal and external factors.
To rescue mankind from this gory state, God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ to redeem man from eternal corruption and damnation.
Now, anyone who is not born again falls into the category of the description that Jesus gave in our study text above. Anyone who is not born again is a troubled soul, a helpless being and a sheep without a shepherd.
That someone goes to church does not exempt him or her from being troubled and helpless and essentially from being a sheep without a shepherd. The only way out is to have a personal relationship with the good Shepherd.
Very expressly, Jesus said in John 10:11 that *"I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep."* Until the good shepherd (Jesus Christ) becomes the director of the affairs of your life, you will continue to lead a miserable life regardless of your achievements or otherwise.
*If indeed you have been rescued and helped by the good shepherd, then you are saddled with the responsibility of bringing others to the good shepherd with deep compassion.*
*BIBLE READING* :
