Text : John 16:33
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."*
In John chapter 16, our Lord Jesus Christ talked to his disciples about the persecution that is about to confront them, his departure back to the Father, the arrival of the Holy Spirit, and how they shall be able to ask anything from the Father in his potent name.
As he rounded up his discourse, He told the disciples that the reason for telling them all these is for them to know where to locate their Peace and that He has already overcome the world.
He made it very clear to his disciples that the only place to find peace is in Him. ".... *in Me* you may have peace. *In the world* you will have tribulation..." (John 16:33). It is therefore clear from the scriptures that this world has no peace to offer a true child of God. Even the peace it offers unbelievers is nothing to be compared to that of Christ. The world has only got counterfeit and unenduring peace to offer her own. It's only in Jesus Christ you will find genuine and lasting Peace. *Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid.- John 14:27*
*The peace that Jesus has left for you is in Him. So, when you position yourself in Him, you will certainly be at peace* .
Whenever you see yourself being surrounded with tribulations, and challenges, simply reach out to the peace you've got in the Lord Jesus Christ. You've not only gotten a peace in Him, He is the very peace that you have. He is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).
Don't be troubled, don't be afraid, you are already in peace. Always tell and remind your heart that Jesus is your Peace. Tell yourself that you are in Peace.
Jesus is my Peace!
I am in Peace!
I am at Peace!
I have got Peace!
Don't be surprised about the tribulations and challenges that you are facing, Jesus has already said to you, "...in the world, you will have tribulations,...but be of good cheer I have overcome the world." John 16:33
*Beloved, be at peace, don't be troubled, don't be afraid, If Jesus is in your boat, be rest assured that it cannot capsize in the face of the boisterous wind.*
