Text :1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.*
It is very important for you to always take God's word seriously and to consider every bit of it closely.
God meant every bit of inspiration and instruction He has given us through his Prophets and Apostles. One of such inspirations and instructions is what we have in our study text.
It is clearly and explicitly stated in God's word that the unrighteous shall not inherit God's kingdom. This is quite scary when you closely consider the list that makes up the unrighteous. You will realize that though you have confessed Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, yet you may likely fall within the list that makes up the unrighteous. This ought not to be.
You must therefore stand in your position as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. (2 Corinthians. 5:21). When you stand in this position in knowledge and in understanding, you shall truly be free from all forms of unrighteousness that lay hold on fornicators, idolaters or adulterers, homosexuals, sodomites, thieves, covetous, drunkards, revilers, extortioners.
The scripture made it clear that you were like the above before, *but you were washed, you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.*
Hence, you must walk in the newness of life far away from unrighteousness.
