ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER

Text:  James 2:18.

But someone may say, “You have faith, and I have actions.” Show me your faith without any actions, and I will show you my faith by my actions.

*If every Christian practices what the Bible teaches, this world would be a better place for all to live in.* Unfortunately, what we have is more of professing Christians than practicing Christians.

From the name, a professing Christian is anyone who claims to be a Christian without being Christ-like in actions or behavior. A practicing Christian is what we are called to be. A Christ-like individual who practices what he preaches or what the Bible preaches.

Have you ever encountered professing Christians before, with their very appalling character? They make you wonder what type of Jesus they follow.

A true Christian is not known by how long he prays and neither is he known by how frequently he goes to church. A Christian is known by his
lifestyle in the neighborhood, at his place of work, and among families and friends.

This is why Matthew 5:16 says let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Your light is seen through your actions which speaks louder and better than what you professed. When your actions are in conformity with God's commands (which are summarized in loving your neighbor as yourself), men will perceive the sweet aroma of your life and will feel the nudge to want to know and follow your God.

Don't forget that faith without works (actions) is dead. Show your faith through your actions because action speaks louder than voice.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
