BE FRUITFUL 2

Text: Genesis 9:1.

And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

Fruits are not only pleasant to the eyes, they are nutritional to the body. In the same way, any life that is bearing fruit will not only be pleasant to the people around him, he or she will bring health to those who eat thereof.

Once your life starts producing the God-kind of fruit, don't expect that every one around you will sing your praise, rather your fruit will attract all kinds of people towards you and this comes with its challenges.

There is a very big Mango tree next to my building. It's in an unfenced piece of land. This tree produces a lot of fruit. You can't walk past it without noticing how very fruitful this tree is.

This tree attracted lots of people to itself because of its very many fruit. Some people come so very early in the morning (while we are still sleeping) to pluck mangoes from this tree. All through the day, this tree hardly get any rest. Yet at night, some individuals are still plucking mangoes. God used this tree to teach us a lot of lessons.

1) Your life will always attract people to you once you start bearing fruit. This will encroach on your privacy, time,  resources and personal space.

2.) You will hardly have a closing time. People who need your fruit of love, Godly counsel, prayers, skills and stuffs like that will demand it from you even at awkward times.

3.) One striking thing about the people that went seeking Mango from this tree is, they hardly pluck the fruit gently, rather, they threw all sort of things at the tree and not once will the tree complain.

Because of the fruit of Peace, gentleness, meekness, patience and the likes that your life is bearing, people will throw all sort of things at you.

Just like the mango tree, you should never complain. Know that hungry people, angry people, lonely people, poor people and the likes are part of those seeking to pluck fruit from your life. Instead of getting angry, you should let your life release Godly fruit to all around you.

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively.
