BLESS ALWAYS

Text: Matthew  5:44

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Some years back, I was instructed by God on the way to the market to keep some money in my jeans pocket from the money I had in my bag.

Still on the way, I was ruminating over the Bible portion I had read earlier in the day which says " bless always and do not curse.

On getting to the market, the press was much from the too many people that were hustling to get one thing or the other. After I had ordered for what I wanted, I was expected to pay. I dished my hand inside my bag and to my utmost surprise, all my money was gone. Apparently, someone had stolen my money. I was completely taken aback.

I knew the thief had overstepped his boundaries. My natural instincts felt like placing a curse on whoever picked my pocket, but immediately I was reminded, "bless and do not curse." If not for the money I kept in my jeans pocket, I would have been stranded as to how to get back home.

Painful as it felt at that moment, I knew what  heaven's order was- bless do not curse. You are not to curse for any reason. Stephen had every reason to curse those who were stoning him for no just cause, but he chose to bless them.(Acts 7:60).

As a child of God, you are not under the same principle that governs the people of the world.

Yes, some people's behavior will provoke you to anger, but in your anger, do not sin. Ephesians 4:26 says, *“Be angry, yet do not sin.” Do not let the sun set while you are still angry.*

Let's read Romans 12:14 together, *Bless those who persecute you. Keep on blessing them, and never curse them.*

Jesus Christ our master said the same thing in Matthew 5:44, He says, "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;"

He went further to explain why you should follow this tall order, He says,_That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust._ Matthew 5:45.

Beloved,  this is the only way to be perfect as a child of God. This is the only way to show that the DNA of your Father-God is in you, Matthew 5:48.
BLESS ALWAYS, DO NOT CURSE.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1. Father God, I receive the grace to follow the tall order (instructions) from heaven that I may be your child indeed in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
