Text : Psalms 121:2.
My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
In the verse one of Psalms 121, the writer asked a question, he says, "I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from?" Just like the writer, everyone of us has the tendency to look up to "hills" for help. The hills here represents anything or anyone that you look to for help other than God.
We thank God that he realized in good time where true help comes from. You must realize too that all of your help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and the earth.
The truth is, if the Lord did not help you, no man can help you. When God decided to use someone as a channel of blessing to you, never mistaken that person as your source, he or she is only a channel.
It is good to appreciate men whenever God used them to bless you, but never turn such person to your source. That a man helped you today doesn't mean he will be there for you tomorrow. This is why Jeremiah 17:5 says cursed is the man who puts his trust in man.
If the maker of heaven and earth is your helper, then you are helped indeed. He is the only one who will not allow you foot to be moved. Lean on Him and look to Him for all of your help comes from Him.
