YOUR COMPANY

Text:  Act 27:24.
‘"...Stop being afraid, Paul! You must stand before the emperor. Indeed, God has given to you the lives of everyone who is sailing with you."’

The association you keep matters a lot in life. Proverbs 13:20 says, *Whoever keeps company with the wise becomes wise,  but the companion of fools suffers harm.* The association you keep will either make you wise or foolish.

Beyond wisdom and foolishness is the fact that the company you keep can either lead you to death or to life.

Dinah, Jacob's daughter decided to mingle with the the Hivites' women. She became defiled in the process and her act led to the death of  all the men in the whole city of Shechem. (Genesis 34).

As a single fellow, you must be careful who you mingle with because evil communication will always corrupt good manners.(1 Corinthians 15:33).

The lives of the people on voyage with Paul was spared because of Paul. God said, He will give him (Paul) the lives of everyone on the ship with him. All of them would have died if Paul was not on voyage with them.

Beloved, before you embark on that journey pray and allow God to lead you. When you are in tune with God, many lives will be rescued from early grave on your account.

Just as Paul's presence led to the saving of the lives of people journeying with him, the presence of Jonah brought severe storm to his fellow passengers.(Jonah 1).You must always pray that you will not pitch your tent with accursed people.

Don't be quick in joining yourself with individual or group of people without checking it out with God. Don't leave God out in any aspect of your life. Let Him be the center of all your decisions.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

BEWARE OF DOGS

Text :  Philippians 3:2. Beware of the dogs! Beware of the evil workers! Beware of the mutilators! Usually, when you see the inscription "BEWARE OF DOGS", you instantly know there's a wild or trained dog around the corner, hence, the need to beware.  However, when God says 'Beware of dogs,' He wasn't actually referring to dogs as in 'animals' but to animals in human skin. Note that this caution was given to believers against other so-called  believers.  That is, some people within the church that we refer to as brothers and sisters are actually operating in the capacity of dogs.Though fellow worshippers in the church are called brothers and sisters, but if they behave like wild animals, know that they are dogs in humans skin- BEWARE. Matthew  7:6 says *Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.*  Essentially, dogs don't have capacity to r...
