I SHALL RISE AGAIN-2

Text :  Micah  7:8 

Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.

Like a ball, you are made of a bouncing material. You are not like a flower vase made from ceramic; hence when you fall you shall rise again,  you will not be broken and shattered like flower vase.

Proverbs  24:16 says  that "For a just man falls seven times, and rises up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief".

When a righteous man falls, he rises again, but when a wicked man falls that's the end.

Today, we shall be looking at the latter part of our text which focuses on those sitting in the darkness. 

When you find yourself sitting in darkness, the LORD Himself shall be a light unto you.  This is the reason Jesus came as the light of the world. _"The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up"_ Matthew  4:16.

To be in the dark could mean a whole lot of things like confusion, hopelessness, sorrow, shame, evil, sin, death and so on. Whatever your own darkness may represent, you must be rest assured that the Lord shall be a light unto you. He will light up your life and drive away every form of darkness in Jesus name.

Prophet Isaiah in the book of Isaiah 50:10 affirms God's commitment to you in your season of darkness. He said, *"Who is among you that fears the LORD, that obeys the voice of his servant, that walks in darkness, and has no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God"* 

 *Hang on, the Lord is about to illuminate your darkness!*

 PRAYER FOCUS

1.) Father God, I receive the grace to stand strong in my down and dark moments in Jesus name.

2.) Father Lord, please, do not give the enemy any opportunity to rejoice over me in Jesus name.

WHEN GOD IS SILENT(2)

Text: Matthew 4:1  *Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.*  We saw yesterday that God was not pleased with many israelites that left Egypt for the promised land  (Corinthians 10:5).  A good percentage of the Israelites were overthrown in the wilderness.   Wilderness experience is not what any child of God desires, but it is an experience God sends or allows his children go through. In Deuteronomy 8:2, God says that He *LED* the Isrealites through the wilderness for forty years to humble them, to prove them, and to know what was in their heart whether they would keep his commandments or not.  Our Lord Jesus Christ was also *LED* into the wilderness by the Spirit of the Lord to be tempted by the devil. You will  notice there is a similar feature of the number *40(forty)* between these two wilderness experiences. That is, that of the Israelites and our Lord Jesus Christ. GULLIBLE BUT INTELLIGENT

Text : Mat 25:31-32  *When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:*   *And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:*  Have you ever wondered why Jesus compared His followers to sheep and not goats?  Sheep has reputation for being stupid, defenceless and harmless creatures that mope about on hillsides doing not very much. They are good for two things: being eaten and producing wool.
