 Text:  Mark 11:23

*For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.*

Jesus taught His disciples the ABC of Faith in God after they saw Him cursed a tree. He said to the deceptive fig tree: *"...No man shall eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever" Mark 11:14* Within 24hrs, the disciples saw the result. The fig tree had dried from the roots.

Peter said unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursed is withered away. Mark 11:21.

Thereafter, Jesus taught the disciples how they can also get result-oriented prayers. He told them to have Faith in God. He highlighted the details of how they can have faith in God. If you also follow this details, you shall always get result.

We shall be looking at two of the steps Jesus mentioned today:

*1. Whatsoever you say:*  This is an open cheque. Whatsoever that you say in accordance to the will of God, you will surely receive. *There is power in our tongue, only that we often use it for the wrong cause.*

*And this is the confidence that we have in him: if we ask for anything according to his will, he listens to us.* 1Jn 5:14 ISV.

*2. This Mountain:*  Faith in God must be specific. You must be precise about what you are believing God for. There are lots of mountains, so you cannot just be speaking to all the mountains arbitrarily. When you pray or make petition, you must be specific and detailed.

BIBLE READING: Mark 11:13-25.

 *PRAYER FOCUS* :

1. Father, I receive grace to start exercising Faith in you and in your words like never before.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

DECEITFULNESS OF SIN 2

TEXT. Hebrews 3:13  *But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin* .  *While deceit is a sin, Sin itself is deceitful.* Sin has the capacity to lure a man to do stuffs. *One of the major vices of the devil is to make sin appear attractive and unharmfult.* If Eve could see what the consequences of eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil would be, she would have resisted the deception of the man of sin. She was simply deceived.Gen, 3:6 While it is no news that all sinners are already condemned to deceitfulness of sin, it is sad to know that many children of God (like Adam and Eve), are being easily deceived by Sin. See the case of Ananias and Sapphira, Acts 5:1-13. Many Christians today are still playing the same game of smartness this couple played. I call it smartness because that was what they thought they were doing. While they thought they were smart, Peter knew that Satan h...
