INSTRUCTION

Text : Pro 23:12

*Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.*

*The irony of life is, your disobedience to God's instructions is tantamount to obedience to the devil.*

Recently, God taught me a lesson through my faulty phone. The phone was tagged as faulty because it stopped receiving instructions from me, the owner. On its own, it will dial numbers, write messages and at times call people without my consent.

At other times, when the phone is required to perform some tasks, it will just refuse to comply.

Correct phone receives instructions from the owners and carry out same accordingly. The moment the phone develops a 'brain' of its own, so it can do stuffs without being instructed, such phone has overstayed it usefulness, and already heading towards the trash bin.

While expressing my Displeasure over the dysfunctionality of the phone to my spouse, then I heard the Lord saying to me silently that, "that's the same way I feel over those who will not take instructions." Permit me to share some of the lessons I learnt with you :

1. *Busy but guilty:* All the time the phone was working on its own, it was draining battery, yet doing disservice to me.

*A number of times you get busy in the name of working for God without being approved by God first and foremost.*

Many are busy in the name of Christ, expending time and energy, yet Jesus didn't know them. Luke 13:27.

This is a very dangerous zone, *God must approve of you first before your service can be acceptable.*

2. *Wait to be instructed:* If you don't have any need of your phone, the phone will lay still, until it is needed.

*Don't run ahead of God, always wait to be instructed by Him before you take your next move.*

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.Psa 27:14.

3. *He will foot the bill.* It is my responsibility to charge my phone and load credit on it for it to serve me better. In the same way, *God is committed to making provisions available for all of His visions. If He sent you, He will carry you through.* He always sponsor His project adequately.

The bottom line here is applying your heart to all of His instructions with the aim of obeying them.

Wisdom only demands that you receive instruction from the Lord before embarking or venturing into any endeavor.

*Take hold of my instructions; don’t let them go. Guard them, for they are the key to life. Prov.4:13*

Bible Reading : Proverbs 4:1-27.

 *PRAYER FOCUS.*

1. Lord help me to take hold of instruction in Jesus nane.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
