ONE THING I KNOW

Text : Joh 9:25

He answered and said, Whether he is a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, before I was blind, now I see.*

The story was told about a man who was blind from birth. He had lived in darkness all his life. Because of his condition, he had lived a beggarly life, always at the mercy of the unmerciful people.

One fateful day, God decided to change his estate. He had an encounter with Jesus and his story changed. His eyes were opened and he could move about freely and fend for himself without being beggarly. You would think people will rejoice with him. But NO!

Typically, people prefer to pity your sorry state than rejoice with you when your story changed for the better.

People will rather give you 'peanuts help' and leave you in your downtrodden state, than see you lead a victorious life.

Such was the case of this blind man. Instead of rejoicing with him that a great miracle had happened to him, they rather chose to question his recovery and miracle till the "authority " got wind of it. John 9:8-13.

These religious bigots(the Pharisees) called this man for questioning with the aim of despising the miracle of God in his life. After much Ado, the one time blind man declared "One thing I know is that, I was once blind, but now I" see.

Just as this blind man got a transformation and miracle that brought him an experiential knowledge of God's power, so also when the Lord transforms your life and situation, there will be many debates, gossips and bickering around your life. Many would doubt and disregard the great change, but one thing always stands out for you- "What You KNOW, you KNOW"

 *WHAT DO YOU KNOW?*

*HAVE YOU ANY ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS?

*WHAT HAS YOUR ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS DONE IN YOUR LIFE?*

*CAN YOU SAY WITH ASSURANCE THAT ONCE YOU WERE BLIND BUT NOW YOU SEE?*

A true encounter with Jesus will bring about a lasting positive change in your life. 1 Corinthian 5:17.

My prayer for you this year is that the Lord will bring you into an experience and knowledge that will transform your life in a very vivid way.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1. Open the eyes of my heart Lord, I want to see you.

2. Restore unto me the Joy of your salvation and renew right Spirit within me. PS. 51:12.

Bible reading: John. 9:1-41.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
