JESUS OUR PEACE

 Text : Isaiah 9:6 For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 

 Jesus does not only give us peace, He is essentially our PEACE. He is the very author of PEACE for as many as received Him. In this world wherein we live, there are so many reasons to be troubled and thrown off balance. But the Prince of peace Himself is always by your side to provide you with the much needed peace.

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 

 One day Jesus was on the sea with His disciples, and there arose a life threatening boisterous wind. Nothing on earth could take away peace like being on a boat that is about to sink. Perhaps, you are on such boat as you are reading now. I want to ask you to simply call on Jesus in Faith. 

 But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water.Mark 4:37. You will wonder what should be the appropriate response of people in this kind of situation(boat).

 ".....Jesus' disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?” Mark 4:38. This seems to be the natural approach and reaction from any normal human being. But Jesus' response negates such fearful response even in the face of life threatening situations. Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?” Mark 4;40 

 Today, if you have the Prince of Peace in your boat(life), you have no reason to be afraid but simply have FAITH IN Him.There is no situation He can't handle. 

 Nothing in this world can wreck the boat(life) Jesus is sitting in. Even while they interrupted his sleep, he woke up with confidence and rebuked the wind(Problem). 

AS YOU PREPARE FOR THE COMING YEAR, SETTLE IT IN YOUR HEART THAT NOTHING WILL WRECK YOUR BOAT; SIMPLY BECAUSE, YOU WILL BY FAITH IN THE NAME OF JESUS REBUKE EVERY BOISTEROUS WIND THAT COMES YOUR WAY.

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
