DO NOT FAINT

Text : Luke 18:2

Also [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up).

Tonight, many people shall be praying, deciding and resolving on new life they would like to embrace in the year 2021.

One major resolve I will however encourage you to make in this coming year is never to faint in God's presence (place of PRAYER). Jesus said, "man ought always to pray and not faint" This is talking to us about the kind of attitude you must embrace in 2021. You must prepare to never allow any challenge take you out of God's presence. Do not give up. Do not loose heart. Do not faint. Prepare your heart to stand in the faith.

People faint because they are no longer standing in the faith.

"....Nevertheless when the Son of man comes, shall he find faith on the earth?" Luke 18:8

When Jesus prayed for Peter in Luke 22:32, one thing He emphasized in His prayer was that his faith will not fail.

When you are fainting in Prayer,it means your faith is failing, hence you are fainting. God expects you to be like the importunate woman(in Luke 18). She never gave up. She never fainted on her request. She stood her ground. She was consistent. This is the attitude you must put on.

Do not accept a 'NO' for an answer in Prayer. God is always willing to attend to your request in Prayer speedily. ".....I tell you that he will avenge them speedily" (Luke 18:8)

*IF YOU ARE FAINTING, I WANT TO ENCOURAGE YOU TO FIND GRACE TO STAND FIRM IN THE FAITH.*

Bible reading: Luke 18:1-8

*WISHING YOU A GLORIOUS 2021 IN ADVANCE* .

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
