Text: 1 John 3:16  By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. Yesterday we looked at how a man can come into leadership by taking responsibility. Today, we shall be looking at how you can assume leadership position by simply walking in love towards the brethren or even those outside the church. Jesus Christ our Lord became the author of salvation because He laid down His life for us. He has therefore become the captain of GOD our salvation.For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.(Hebrews 2:10). There are many leaders who are just occupying a position without responding in a  commensurate manner  to the responsibility  expected of them.  *One of the qualities that qualifies one as a good and godly leader is the ability to take responsibility.*  Not being able to take responsibility is the reason for the fall of our first parents. Text : Psalms 121:2.  My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. In the verse one of Psalms 121, the writer asked a question, he says, "I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from?" Just like the writer, everyone of us has the tendency to look  up to "hills" for help. The hills here represents anything or anyone that you look to for help other than God. We thank God that he realized in good time where true help comes from. You must realize too that all of your help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and the earth. The truth is, if the Lord did not help you, no man can help you. When God decided to use someone as a channel of blessing to you, never mistaken that person as your source, he or she is only a channel.  It is good to appreciate men whenever God used them to bless you, but never turn such person to your source. You can't just keep calm, but beyond this euphoria or emotions is the fact that it is a command.  Every one who has been saved is saddled with the responsibility of helping others to be saved.   _And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;_ (2 Corinthians  5:18). *God reconciled us to Himself and gave us the ministry of reconciling others. Text :  Proverbs 5:1. My son, pay attention to my wisdom, and listen closely to my insight, First and foremost, the people God is addressing in our text today are those whom He can call sons. There's a limit to how you can scold or correct someone who is not your child. So, the question is are you God's son? Hebrew 12:6 says, *For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he punishes every son he accepts.”*  If you have not received any correction or rebuke from the Lord via His words or His servants in a very long time, then you should really question your sonship in Him. A number of times, you see well meaning parents disciplining their children for an offence committed alongside other people's children without disciplining the rest of the children.  This is because you can only punish or correct those that are truly yours.  A correct son sees discipline and correction as a show of love and not otherwise.  Proverbs 29:15 says *The rod and rebuke bestow wisdom...
