*THE BIG MOMENT*

Text : Gen. 18:2 ISV

He glanced up and saw three men standing there, not far from him. As soon as he noticed them, Abraham ran from the tent entrance to greet them and bowed low to the ground.

Everything big starts small. The human race, with our vast population today started with a man. The tallest man on earth started out as a baby. There is time and season for everything under sun, but a number of times, man is impatient to wait for the big moment. As a matter of fact, *people miss out on their big moment because they disdain the "little moments" along their path.* (Ecc. 3:1-8)

Your big moment is the set and appointed time for you to enter into God's purpose for your life, it's a time ordained for you to fulfil your God- Ordained destiny.

God promised Abraham that he will be father of many nations. Obviously, Abraham had to start by fathering a child first.

At the fullness of time, God wanted to launch Abraham into his big moment, but Abraham had to pass the test before he can qualify to be called the Father of many nations. The episodes that followed depicts the steps that can lead you to your big moment.

You need to know that:

1.) *Your big mome will happen on a normal, and usual day.* _Later, the LORD appeared to Abraham by the oaks belonging to Mamre. As Abraham was sitting near the entrance to his tent during the hottest part of the day,_ day.Gen 18:1 ISV.
God will not announce your date of big moment to you, otherwise you will put on a false preparation. That's why we are admonished in Galatian 6:9 not to get tired of doing what is good, for at the right time we will reap a harvest—if we do not give up.

2.) *Your helpers are positioned around you.* _He glanced up and saw three men standing there, not far from him._  In verse one of our text, it was clear that it was the Lord who appeared to Abraham. (Read Gen.18:1 again) But what Abraham saw in verse two were men.

Note that God sometimes appear in human form to relate with man. That's why we are encouraged to do good to strangers.
*Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.*

Watch out for the people God has positioned around you, your actions and inactions towards them could make or mar you. *Be good to people on your way up, you may need them on your way down,* goes the popular saying.

One good way to show you love God is by loving the people around you.  Remember that your neighbors are everyone within your circle of influence. (Luke 10:27-37).

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? (1John  4:20).

If Abraham had pretended as though he didn't see those strangers,  he would have missed his divine timing for God's blessings. He would have missed his big moment.

*Opportunity to step into your big moment might be wrapped in an uninviting parcel,  Pray to God for wisdom not to miss it or look down on it.*

 *Bible Reading :*

 Genesis 18: 1-33.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1.) Father God, please help me not to miss my big moment, and  help me not to disdain my days of little beginnings.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

BEWARE OF DOGS

Text :  Philippians 3:2. Beware of the dogs! Beware of the evil workers! Beware of the mutilators! Usually, when you see the inscription "BEWARE OF DOGS", you instantly know there's a wild or trained dog around the corner, hence, the need to beware.  However, when God says 'Beware of dogs,' He wasn't actually referring to dogs as in 'animals' but to animals in human skin. Note that this caution was given to believers against other so-called  believers.  That is, some people within the church that we refer to as brothers and sisters are actually operating in the capacity of dogs.Though fellow worshippers in the church are called brothers and sisters, but if they behave like wild animals, know that they are dogs in humans skin- BEWARE. Matthew  7:6 says *Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.*  Essentially, dogs don't have capacity to r...
