Text: Proverbs 4:7
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
Wisdom is the principal thing, hence, it is necessary for you to get wisdom. Life becomes worth living as we seek God's wisdom on a daily basis.
Wisdom is available to anyone who truly and genuinely seeks it. The book of Proverbs says that _Wisdom calls aloud outside; She raises her voice in the open squares. She cries out in the chief concourses, At the openings of the gates in the city She speaks her words_ . (Proverbs 1:20-21).
The above shows that wisdom can be accessed by you if only you would pay attention to her cry and voice.
There is no middle ground, you are either responding to the call of wisdom or you are responding to a life of folly.
God's wisdom can be accessed through three major ways:
1. *Ask for it.*
The brother of our Lord Jesus Christ (in the flesh) wrote to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, saying, "if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him" (James 1:5).
2. *Obedience to the Lord.* Genuine obedience to the Lord is the fear of the Lord. And the book of Psalms 111:10 says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
You must be well established in this truth: *Obedience is Wisdom.*
3. *Learn:* (Proverbs 1:5)
*A heart that seeks to know and learn God is a heart that embraces true wisdom.*
*A full heart is a fool's heart.* You must continually seek to learn in order that your heart may find wisdom.
*Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.(Proverbs 9:9)*
