Text: Matthew 24:45

“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing.

*As a Steward, you must not only be faithful but you must be wise.* While faithfulness will make you deal according to the terms and expectations of the Master (the LORD Jesus Christ), wisdom will help you know how to go about what He expects of you.

A wise servant is one who faithfully carries out his master's instructions according to his master's terms and  expectations - the 'what', the 'how', and the 'when'.

One of the responsibilities wherein the master expects a servant to be faithful and wise in, is in giving meat to His household in due season.

While every believer is a servant, all believers are the household of the Master. The meat is the word of God, and all the gifts that God has given to each member of the household is meant to serve the body of Christ.

As a Steward over all that God has given unto you, you must be wise enough to know how to give meat in due season  to the household.

As a teacher, preacher and exhorter of God's word, you are to dispense and communicate God's word to His household appropriately, at the right time, and in the right manner.

Apostle Paul once said, *"For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ."(2 Corinthians 2:17).* This is one of the wisdoms needed by every believer as regarding the preaching of the word.

Another wisdom that is  needed, is regarding your possession and riches.  Apostle Paul said to Timothy to *"Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;* That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.(1 Timothy 6:17-19).

Lastly, you must also be wise in your stewardship of God's giftings and anointing upon your life. Jesus once said to his disciples, *"Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give." (Matthew 10:8).*

You must know that you are God's stewards of your possessions, riches, gifts, potentials and all that you have got, hence you must be wise to serve Jesus' household with same in due season.

Matthew 24:45-51.

 *PRAYER FOCUS:*

Father LORD,  help me to be a faithful and wise servant. Teach me to serve diligently with all that you have blessed me with in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
