TEXT: 2 Corinthians 6:18.

*“I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters,” declares the Lord Almighty.*

God is sovereign over all creation. He is the Creator of all things and the Lord of the universe, but He is not a Father to everyone.

The fatherhood of God is a privileged relationship that is established through spiritual birth (John 1:12–13) that is through adoption (Romans 8:15).

Just as in the natural, fatherhood is not only about identity but also about responsibility. A true father cares, provides, protects, instructs, and disciplines his children and God perfectly fits in in all these roles.

The Scripture assures us that God is a responsible and faithful Father:
He provides for His children (Matthew 6:31-32).
He protects and watches over them (Psalm 121:5-7).
He shows compassion toward them (Psalm 103:13).
He corrects and disciplines them in love (Hebrews 12:6-7).

Unlike earthly fathers who may fail, God never fails in His responsibility. He is constant, dependable, faithful and perfect in His dealings with His children.
However, just as fathers have responsibilities, children also have obligations. One of the greatest responsibilities of a child is *honor*.

The Bible clearly states:
“A son honors his father…” (Malachi 1:6).
Know that honor is expressed through reverence, obedience, love, and submission. As a child of God, are you
Honoring Him with your life and decisions? (Proverbs 3:9).

Are you obeying His Word? (John 14:15).
Are you living in a way that reflects His nature? (1 Peter 1:14–16).
And do you submit to His discipline and guidance? (Hebrews 12:9).

When a child refuses to honor the father, it disrupts the relationship and limits the experience of the father’s blessings. In the same way, *many believers claim God as Father but fail to live in honor and obedience to Him.*

True sonship is not just by confession, it is revealed in conduct.
Therefore, if God is truly your Father, there must be visible evidence in your life: a heart of obedience, a lifestyle of honor, and a continual growth into spiritual maturity.

Let us not only enjoy the privileges of sonship but also embrace its responsibilities.

 *PRAYER FOCUS:*

Father, I receive the grace to submit to your will and to reverence you with my life always in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
