TEXT: Matthew 21:14

*Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them.*

*When the presence of God is right in the midst of His people, salvation, healing and deliverance become imminent.*

Jesus Christ, having shut down the merchandising activities in the temple, the blind and the lame came to him and they were healed.

The scripture is quite intentional in specifically recording these two kinds of  infirmities amongst others.

Before the arrival of Jesus in the temple, the temple had become a den of thieves, it was no longer a house of prayer. A “den of thieves” is a place where people who steal or cheat gather, hide, or operate from.

So, what Jesus was saying in essence is that, the place where people ought to gain access to God has now become a place where  corrupt people hide and operate from. The synagogue leaders, under the disguise of worship and sacrifice, were simply extorting the people.

That's the same problem within the church today. Many false and unstable leaders take advantage of the innocent, ignorant and unstable seekers while in search of solutions to their problems or while seeking  the LORD.

This is the reason Jesus healed the blind and the lame who came to him in the temple. He wanted to teach us a fundamental lesson. These blind and lame had always been around the temple, but their problems had remained. So, they kept on worshipping God without sight and mobility.

While the blind are those who cannot see what the will of God is, the lame are those who cannot walk in the will of God.

Seeing and walking in the will of God will keep you away from many deceivers and pits. Hence, when you are coming into the house of prayer, the first miracle Jesus will like to perform in your life is for you to gain your sight and mobility. This means the ability to see God and to walk in God's will. Once you are able to see spiritually and journey with the Lord. No one will be able to deceive you again.

The first encounter Jacob had gave him sight and mobility. He saw the  ladder reaching the top of heaven from the earth, and he thereafter  walked with the Lord. His life never remained the same again after that encounter. (Genesis 28:12-22).

As a believer, you won't be able to participate in fellowship in the house of prayer if you are unable to see God and walk in his will.

*Effective prayer is born out of understanding of God's will and ability to walk in the same.*

May the Lord open your eyes and strengthen your feeble knees in Jesus name.

 *BIBLE READING:*

Matthew 21: 12-14.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

Father Lord, please open my eyes and strengthen my feeble knees in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...
