Text:*  1Samuel 13:12.

I thought, ‘The Philistines will come down against me at Gilgal but I’ve not sought the favor of the LORD,’ so I forced myself to offer the burnt offering.”*

You can come out with many profound excuses to justify your disobedient act, but the truth remains that God cannot condole disobedience.

A number of times, you convince yourself that you are helping God, when in actual fact, you are only helping yourself. God is the Almighty, He does not need anyone's help.

How can you say you are helping God by cutting corners? God promised Abraham a child through Sarah, they decided to help God by employing Haggai to have a child for our father of faith. Today, when they look down from heaven, they'll realize what a huge error they both committed.

You don't have to wait till you get to heaven to understand that helping God is a costly experiment you can't afford.

The truth is, you are not actually helping God, you are only satisfying your selfish desires. You believe that God is delaying and you seek another means to gratify your desires.

Another truth is that 'helping God' comes at a very high cost, even when God has forgiven you, you still have to deal with the consequences, and most times, these consequences are transgenerational.

What Abraham did many centuries ago, we are still dealing with the consequences today. When king Saul decided to 'help God', his generation was removed, and totally alienated from kingship in Isreal.

The reason we are 'helping God'  as it were, is because we are impatient. Habakkuk 2:3 says,  *For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.*

*Don't run ahead of God, don't run ahead of yourself, don't run ahead of your timing. Wait patiently for God, because He makes everything beautiful in His time.* (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

God is never too late, wait for Him, even when  it appears time is going, He will make all things beautiful for you in His time, don't try to help God by lowering His standards.

 *Bible Reading*

1 Samuel 13:1-14.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

Father, grant me the grace to patiently wait for your timing in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
