TEXT: Matthew 25:26

"But his lord answered and said to him, 'You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.

Today we shall be looking at the second servant that our Lord Jesus Christ referred to as being wicked.

In another parable, Jesus called a servant who has refused to multiply the talent committed into his hands, a wicked servant.

In the same vein, the Lord expects that you would also multiply Whatever gift He has deposited into your life.

If you do not profit with the gift you have received from the LORD  for His kingdom, then you may also be described as a wicked servant.

A wicked servant is one who digs the ground and hides away the gift of God upon his life. He is one who sees the LORD as an unjust and unfaithful master who reaps from where He does not sow. He sees the LORD as one who gathers where He has not scattered seed. A wicked servant is a fearful servant, who is not willing to go on an adventure for the Lord and with the Lord.

Such is not willing to take any risk for his master. He is not occupying  till the LORD returns.

Matthew 25:24-25 sums up the story of the wicked servant thus: "Then he who had received the one talent came and said, 'Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.'

*There is a high tendency for people with seemingly negligible gifts to abandon such.  They forget that the gift multiplies through active trading and not by mere keeping it.*

*'For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.(Matthew 25:29)*

 *BIBLE READING:*

Matthew 25: 14-29.

 *PRAYER FOCUS:*

Father God, please give me the grace to trade with all the gifts you've given me for the gain of your kingdom in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
