TIT FOR TAT

TEXT: Matthew 6:14&15

*For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.*

Tit for tat simply means responding to someone the same way they treat you.

While God discourages tit for tat among His people. For instance first Thessalonians 5:15 says, "See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good...".

Jesus Christ, however, mentioned one specific area where God has chosen to do tit.
It is quite scary to know that the forgiveness you will receive is directly proportional to the one you are willing to give to others.

God's mathematics shows that the measure of forgiveness you will receive is directly proportional to the one you are willing to give others.

*So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if you from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses. (Matthew 18:35)*

The forgiveness that God requires is that which comes from the heart. You must truly release all your debtors (offenders) from your heart, It is only then you too can be rest assured that your debts shall be forgiven.

The Lord's prayer says:
*"...forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors." (Matthew 6:12).* You will be forgiven just as you forgive others.

Forgiveness must come from your heart, that is the only time it becomes acceptable unto God.

Offences will certainly come, but you need God's grace to be able to genuinely clear the offenders from your heart. You must always be willing to give forgiveness not necessarily for the sake of the offender, but for your own sake.

You must always be willing to give forgiveness because your own forgiveness from God is based on the forgiveness you give to others.

 *Bible Reading:*

Matthew 18:22-35.

 *PRAYER FOCUS:*

Father LORD, grant unto me the grace to always be willing to give forgiveness to everyone that offends and that will offend me in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
