Text: Colossians 3:12.

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

*As a child of God, there are virtues you are commanded to cultivate and grow in. These are not optional qualities; they are divine expectations.*

Apostle Paul makes it clear that we must “put on” these virtues. This means they require intentional effort. They do not develop automatically, nor can they be delegated to someone else. It is your personal responsibility to grow in them.

The first virtue mentioned is “bowels of mercy.” In biblical language, the word “bowels” refers to the deepest inward parts of a person, the seat of emotions and compassion. It speaks of a mercy that comes from the depth of your heart, not a shallow or occasional kindness.

To have bowels of mercy means to be deeply moved by the suffering, weakness, and faults of others. It is compassion that feels another person’s pain and responds with love rather than judgment and condemnation.

It is the kind of mercy that makes you forgive when offended, help when it is inconvenient, and show patience when others fall short of expectations.

This is the kind of compassion demonstrated by Jesus Christ. When He saw the multitude, He was moved with compassion. His mercy was not theoretical, it was practical.

He healed the sick, fed the hungry, forgave sinners, and restored the broken. As believers, we are called to reflect that same depth of mercy.

Bowels of mercy will
cause you to forgive quickly; prevent you from being harsh or critical; make you sensitive to the needs of others; and lead you to act.

*In a world that is becoming increasingly cold and self-centered, God expects His children to stand out through deep, heartfelt compassion. You cannot claim to be “elect of God, holy and beloved” and remain hard-hearted.*

Therefore, consciously put on bowels of mercy. Ask God to soften your heart. Let compassion guide your words, your decisions, and your actions.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

Father Lord, please fill my heart with love and compassion for others, that I might be a true ambassador here on earth in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
