ALL TRUTH- 3

Text : John 16:13.  Yet when the Spirit of Truth comes, he’ll guide you into all truth. He won’t speak on his own accord, but he’ll speak whatever he hears and will declare to you the things that are to come. It is only the LORD that can lead and teach you in all the truth. This He does through His Holy Spirit. That's why He promised us in John  chapter sixteen verse thirteen that when he, the Spirit of truth,  comes, he will guide us into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.  *Without the presence and effective workings of the  Holy Spirit in your life, you cannot be led and guided into all the truth.*  The Holy Spirit is the one who leads and guides you into all the essence and reality of Jesus Christ. For you to be led and guided in all the truth, you must be filled with the Holy Spirit. He is the true teacher, the very anointing that teaches you all things. ...

ALL TRUTH- 2

Text :  Psalms 25:5    Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You [are] the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day. Having believed the truth, you must come to know the truth that you have believed. That's the reason Apostle Paul said that some are ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.(2 Timothy  3:7). Jesus Christ is an embodiment of Truth, that's the reason He said in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth and the life. So, having confessed Him as your Savior and Lord, you must begin to learn of Him.  Jesus Christ (the truth Himself) is like a whole curriculum and volumes of book that must be learnt. Hence, He said in Matthew 11:28, Matthew 11:29 "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.". To learn of Christ, you must first of all come to Him and take His yoke upon you. So, a learner is a comer- one who continually journey to Christ.  So many ...

ALL TRUTH

Text :  Psalms 25:5  Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You [are] the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day. Our Lord Jesus Christ clearly made it clear that the Holy Spirit will lead us into all the truth. (John 16:13). The same promised Holy Spirit is here with us today. Hence, no one who has the Holy Spirit  has an excuse for not knowing what or who the truth is. We live in a confused and noisy world. Many are looking and searching for the truth. Those who seem to have found the truth (Jesus Christ), are not journeying into all the truth. They are not being guided and led by the truth. One of the major onslaughts of the enemy is placing a lie side by side with the truth. Having received the truth, many could no longer advance into the truth because of the lies the enemy has wrapped around the truth. Philip, one of the deacons appointed by the Apostles went to Samaria, and Simon the sorcerer came to the truth but the lies in his head weren't dealt with. Th...

DIVINE MOMENT 2

Text :  Mark 10:47.  And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. Today, our case study will center on the person of David. He was profoundly referred to as King David, but he definitely wouldn't ascend the throne had he missed his divine moment when it came knocking. Divine timing always precedes divine moment. Once you missed your divine timing, you have missed your divine moment.  What people watch out for is your divine moment,  that is, your time of glory and manifestation, but what you must watch out for is your divine timing. It cannot be overemphasised that divine timing is always wrapped around seemingly unimportant assignments. *If you feel too big to do 'small tasks', you're obviously too small to be entrusted with big tasks.*   *And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?* Luke 16:12. Just like Joseph,...

DIVINE MOMENT

Text :  Mark 10:47.  And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. The scripture is full of stories of mere men who became great men of valour and worth by seizing seemingly common occasions to rise to high positions.  Today, we shall begin a series that will look into the lives of these men in order to glean wisdom from them.  *JOSEPH*  Joseph was a young man who carried great destiny. He grew up like every regular person. His divine moment came almost unnoticed, but his habitual obedience to simple instructions helped him launched  into his divine destiny. In Genesis 37:13 Jacob, Joseph's father called him and said,  “Your brothers are tending the flock in Shechem. Come here, because I am going to send you to them.” “Here I am!” he responded. Joseph didn't know he wouldn't see his father again until over thirteen years later. His obedience to carry out his father's instructi...

THE INVITATION

Text :  Matthew 11:28. Come to me, all of you who are weary and loaded down with burdens, and I will give you rest. The greatest and most important invitation one can receive in life is the one given by the King of kings Himself. Now, imagine a situation where you refuse to honor the invitation of the King of kings. That's the greatest tragedy one can commit against his own soul. Jesus Christ gave an open invitation to all in Matthew 11:28. It is an invitation to Rest. He's inviting all to come to Him and the invitation is still open till today.  He says in John 6:37 that He will by no means cast out anyone who comes to Him. The problem is many are not honoring this invitation. It is one thing to send an invite, it's another to receive or accept the invite. Jesus gave an explicit analogy on this in the parable about a banquet in the book of Matthew 22. It talks about a King who gave invitation to people to freely come to his well-put-togetger wedding feast. The bunch of all...

INCREDIBLE LOVE 2

Text : 1 Johnn 3:1   Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Love is a two way traffic, "I  love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me". Proverb 8:17. The Two parties involved here are The Almighty God and you.  It has been established from the scriptures that the love of God is always constant because God is love, (1 John 4:8), but the question is,  do you love God? When you ask people this question, the ready answer is "yes", yet we have a yardstick for determining your love for the father.  Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. (John 14:23). Without mincing words,  one yardstick for showing your love for God is by keeping His words.  Also,  in 1 John 4:20, the word of God s...

INCREDIBLE LOVE

Text :1John 3:1  *Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.*  The Amplified version of our text refers to the love the Father shows to us as INCREDIBLE. "See what an incredible quality of love the Father has shown to us, that we would [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him." A number of times, we are unable to see this love of the father.  Some years back I was in a prayer meeting and a song was raised. The lyrics was simply talking about how good and loving the father is to me.  Immediately,  I was switched off because I felt the song was not so true concerning me.  I was hurting,  alone,  lonely and dejected. So I couldn't receive the love of the father.  I walked out of the meeting amidst tears because...

HIS VOICE- 2

Text : John 10:3. To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. We established yesterday that one thing you can't joke with as a true follower of Christ is *His Voice.* You must recognise and hearken to (obey) His voice. It is in doing this that your safety is assured.  Today, we want to see another responsibility of the Shepherd over His sheep.  To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, *and leads them out.* John 10:3.  He called you, that He might lead you. It is not enough for you to hear or recognise His Voice, you must allow Him to lead you as well.  Romans 8:14 says *For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.*   The Spirit leading you determines the family you belong to. Basically,  there are only two families in this world - the family of God, and the family of satan. In other words, we can say the Kingdom...
