HE IS ABLE

Text : Mat 19:26 ISV   Jesus looked at them intently and said, “For humans this is impossible, but for God all things are possible .”  A number of times we use our incapability to define what God can do. That it is impossible with  you does not mean it is impossible for God . Jesus kept telling Mary and Martha and the Apostles at large that Lazarus will rise again (a man that has been dead for four days),  because it was beyond their human faculty to grasp what Jesus really meant. They kept saying, he will rise again on resurrection morning. Hear a cross section of their conversation : Jesus told her, “Your brother will rise again.” Martha told him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The person who believes in me, even though he dies, will live. John 11:23-25. Just take Him at His  word. Even if your situation looks hopeless or even dead, He says though he dies, he will live,  only believe. Today

THE COMFORTER

Text : John 14:15,16&18 If you love me, you will keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter to be with you for ever..... I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. While Jesus was here, during His earthly ministry,  He was not just a teacher to the apostles. He was their Defender,  Counsellor, Comforter. In fact,  He was everything to them. Hence,  He knew they wouldn't survive without Him. That was why He told them in verse 16 of John 14 that, the Father will give you ANOTHER COMFORTER. The word "another" depicts that there has been one before. This was the same thing He told them in Acts chapter one, when He was about to ascend to heaven.  He told them to wait for the promise of the Father. "And you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost come upon you... Acts 1:4-8 We know that this promise of the Father was fulfilled since the day of Pentecost as recorded in Acts 2. However,  just as this promise wa

THE GREATEST

Text : Matthew 18:4   *Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.*   *Being the greatest in the kingdom is not about what you do but who you are.* Jesus pointed out here that little children are humble beings. Hence, what qualifies a person as the greatest in the kingdom of heaven is humility. Little children are both lowly and meek. These are qualities that does not come naturally to an adult. For instance, when you bring a little child from a wealthy background to live in a very poor home with another poor little child, he will gladly comply without any struggle. He will never complain or compare. He will simply adapt and gladly receive all the low and impoverished treatments. No adult or grown up child can accept this so easily.  That is the reason Jesus did not ask us to be converted and become as a child but ' *little child* '   _And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as lit

MY SHEPHERD 2

Text : Psalms 23:1   *The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.*   *The Lord cannot be your shepherd and you will be in want.* If you allow the Lord to shepherd you, you will not be in want of anything. A sheep does not struggle to get anything done in "his" own strenght. A sheep simply obeys the shepherd and that takes care of its needs.  When the scripture talks about want, do not think of " financial want" only. *There are many people with lots of money that are still in want. True Want is the Want of God's life and presence in a man.* . The primitive root of the Hebrew word from which want is coined from can be ; to lack ; by implication to fail, to lessen: - be abated, be bereaved, decrease, (cause to) fail, (have) lack, make lower, want.  Though you may be walking through the valley of the shadow of death, but you shall not lack divine protection if the Lord is your shepherd.  Jesus our great shepherd once asked His disciples, "....When I sent you

MY SHEPHERD

Text : Psalms 23:1   *The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.*   *It is so saddening how we religiously quote scriptures without any tangible contact with their realities and potency.*  May the Lord revive us once again, that the scriptures may be rediscovered as our most valuable treasure. *Taking God's word and trusting in it just as it is, is Faith in its simple definition.* There are too many complications and complexities in our churches today, that has made seekers and members' lives more terrible.  One of the major duties of every Pastor is to introduce members to the Good and Chief Shepherd.(John 10:11, 1Peter 5:4). So many ministers of the gospel today has forgotten that they will account for every single soul under them. They sometimes forget that the chief Shepherd has not called them to shear the sheep but to Feed them.  One major question Pastors or ministers of the gospel must continually ask is: Am I shearing or feeding the sheep? *Pastor, are you a sheep She
