LIFE BEYOND APPEARANCE

TEXT: 2 Timothy 3:5.

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such, turn away.”

Apostle Paul, writing to Timothy, warned about a dangerous trend that would characterize the last days. In Second Timothy 3:5, he concluded that people living out these signs of the end time would maintain an outward appearance of godliness but lack its transforming power.

This is a sobering reminder that Christianity is not merely about religious activities, church attendance, or spiritual vocabularies, it is about having a working  relationship with Christ that produces real change.

The phrase “form of godliness” suggests external religion without internal transformation.

It is possible to sing worship songs, quote scriptures, and even serve in ministry, yet resist the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit.

The power of godliness is the power that convicts of sin, renews the mind, breaks sinful habits, and produces the fruit of the Spirit.

When the power of God is at work in a believer’s life, it brings about transformation.

*Guard your heart. Fight the good fight of faith. Stay rooted in sound teachings and daily fellowship with God.*

*In these perilous times, God is calling His people not just to look godly, but to live godly.*

*Let your Christianity go beyond appearance. Seek the power that changes you from the inside out.*

 *BIBLE READING:*

1 Timothy 4:1–6.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

Father, in a world filled with deception and compromise, open my spiritual eyes and sharpen my discernment. Help me to hear Your Spirit clearly and obey promptly in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
