DON'T BE BLIND

TEXT: 2 Peter 1:9.

For the person who lacks these qualities is blind and shortsighted, and has forgotten the cleansing that he has received from his past sins.

One silent weapon the enemy uses against  believers is *forgetfulness.* It is very easy for you to forget what God has done for you without even realizing it.

The book of James talk about forgetful hearers. Those who hear the true gospel and forget what is it that they have heard.

The unfortunate thing about this forgetfulness is that, it renders victim blind and shortsighted.

Many are blind without even knowing it. They can no longer see the hand of God in their lives, nor remember the mercy that once saved them.

Spiritual blindness does not happen suddenly; it grows quietly when gratitude fades, when prayer becomes casual, and when the Word of God is no longer treasured in the heart.

Beloved, when you forget where God brought you from, you will begin to take His grace for granted. You may start relying on your own strength and lose sensitivity to His voice.

That is why the Scripture urges us to continually add to our faith virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love.

These qualities keep our spiritual eyes open and our hearts alert.
*Do not allow the enemy to steal your memory of God’s goodness. Remember the day He forgave you, the times He protected you, the doors He opened, and the battles He fought for you.*

Remembrance fuels gratitude, Being grateful is like building a monument of God's faithfulness.

When you stay conscious of God’s work in your life, you walk in humility, wisdom, and purpose. Your sight becomes sharp, and your path becomes bright.

Look into 2Peter 1:5-7 again and intentionally do the necessary additions.

 *Prayer focus*

Lord, keep my heart awake and my eyes open. Help me never to forget Your mercy and Your transforming power in my life. Deliver me from spiritual blindness and make me fruitful in every good work, in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
