BE EFFECTIVE

TEXT: 2 Peter 1:8.

“For if you possess these qualities, and if they continue to increase among you, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in attaining a full knowledge of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah.”

The Word of God is very clear on how a believer can live an effective and productive life in the Kingdom.

*Fruitfulness in Christ is not accidental; it is the result of intentional spiritual growth.*

Apostle Peter, in this passage, emphasizes the importance of developing godly qualities such as faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love.

Now, the emphasis is not just that you are producing these virtues, but that they are increasing in your life.
When these virtues are present and continually increasing in your life, they guard you against spiritual barrenness and stagnation.

A Christian who neglects growth becomes unfruitful, but the one who consistently nurtures these qualities becomes impactful, influential, and aligned with God’s purpose.

Effectiveness is not measured merely by activities, but by spiritual productivity and intimacy with Christ which is expressed majorly in your relationship with other people.

As we grow in character and obedience, our knowledge of Jesus deepens, our witness becomes stronger, and our lives begin to reflect His nature and glory.
God desires that every believer bear fruit that lasts.

Today, make a conscious decision to cultivate these virtues daily through prayer, studying the Word, and obedience to all of His instructions and see to it that you are growing in these virtues through the help of the Holy Spirit.

When you grow intentionally, fruitfulness becomes inevitable.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

Lord, help me to grow daily in godly virtues. Strengthen me to live a fruitful and effective life that brings glory to Your name in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
