JUDGE NOT-2

TEXT: *Matthew 7:1

“Stop judging, so that you won’t be judged.”

To judge means to pronounce an opinion concerning right and wrong. The Lord Jesus Christ does not want you to pronounce an opinion concerning others because of your limitations as a human.

To keep this command of not judging others can be a very difficult task, except by the help of the Holy Spirit.

We also need an understanding of the fact that everyone shall be accountable to God, who is their Maker and Master. So, the highest thing you could do for your brother when you perceive he is going in the wrong direction is to go to him personally if you can, or pray for him.

You need to know that every single person shall stand before the Lord; hence, it is not your calling to be the judge of others.

Apostle Paul warned the church in Rome not to judge one another based on preference for food or days of worship.

*“...why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.”(Romans 14:10 & 12)*

Jesus Christ has not given any man the ministry of judgment.

*“Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.”(Romans 14:13).*

From the above, we have a command to obey and an advice to follow:

1. Do not judge others anymore.

2. Resolve not to put a stumbling block in your brother’s way.

While you are expecting no one to judge you, the Lord would still have you not do things that can make your brethren uncomfortable, thereby leading to their fall.

We shall further look into this tomorrow.

 *PRAYER FOCUS:*
Father, cleanse my conscience by the blood of Jesus. Deliver me from hypocrisy, self-righteousness, and dead works. Purify my heart and align my thoughts with Yours.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
