GRACE AND TRUTH

TEXT: John 1:17

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”

Grace and truth are the full expression of God revealed in Jesus Christ. Before Christ came, humanity related with God mainly through the law.

The law showed what was right, but it did not give the power to live right. It exposed sin but could not heal the sinner. When Jesus came, He brought more than rules, He brought grace, truth, forgiveness, and transformation.

Grace is God reaching down to lift man up. It is an unmerited favor.
Grace is strength for the weak, hope for the hopeless, and mercy for the undeserving.

Truth, on the other hand, is the light that exposes God’s standard and reveals His will. *Truth shows us the way to walk; grace gives us the ability to walk in it. That is why both must work together in the life of every believer.*

Many people want grace but avoid the truth. They desire God’s blessings but reject His instructions. Others hold tightly to truth but forget grace, becoming harsh, judgmental, and unloving.

Jesus never separated the two. To the woman caught in adultery He showed grace. “Neither do I condemn you”. He  immediately declared the truth to her, “Go and sin no more.” This is the pattern for Christian living.

Grace is not a license to continue in sin; it is divine empowerment to overcome sin. Truth is not a weapon to destroy people; it is a compass to direct people to God.

When grace and truth dwell in you, your character changes, your speech becomes seasoned with love, and your lifestyle begins to reflect Christ.

Examine your walk today. Do you only run to God for mercy but ignore His Word? Or do you know the Word yet lacks compassion toward others? *The fullness of Christ is seen when we receive His grace and submit to His truth.* Let this balance shape your decisions, relationships, and service to God.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

Father, thank You for sending Jesus full of grace and truth. Let Your grace empower me to live above sin, and let Your truth guide every step I take. Help me to show others the same grace You have shown me, while standing firmly in Your truth, in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
