The Celebration-2

TEXT: Luke 2:10

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.”*

*One thing you must be careful not to be caught doing in this season is wasteful spending.*

Christmas is a season of joy, gratitude, and celebration, but it must be celebrated with wisdom and understanding.

It is good to look good, but do not stress yourself or put unnecessary pressure on yourself in a bid to impress people.

It is good to eat good food, but do not spend beyond your means in the name of Christmas celebration. Do not give what you do not have just to appear richer than your neighbours or to meet societal expectations.

When the King of kings Himself was born, heaven did not announce His arrival to earthly kings, nobles, or the high and mighty of His time. Instead, the angels announced His birth to shepherds, ordinary men faithfully watching over their flocks by night. This speaks loudly of humility and simplicity.

The birth of Jesus teaches us that God values the heart, not outward display. Philippians 2:8 tells us:
“And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”
Everything about Christ, His birth, His life, and His death, was wrapped in humility.

Humility was not an afterthought; it was the hallmark of His mission on earth.
In this season and beyond, let humility be your lifestyle.

Jesus humbled Himself, and we are required to do the same. Remember, *when you refuse to humble yourself, you will eventually be humbled by people and circumstances.*

This celebration is not primarily about new clothes, shoes, or elaborate meals. It is about the joy of salvation, the hope of redemption, and the peace that Jesus Christ brings to all mankind.

Be intentional this season about setting your priorities right. Celebrate with joy, but do so with wisdom, contentment, gratitude, and humility.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
