THANKSGIVING

TEXT: John 6:11.

And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.”

Thanksgiving must be intentional.
As the year 2025 draws to a close, you must deliberately choose to give thanks to God for the remaining days.

Thanksgiving is not a religious ritual; it is a spiritual key, it is your passcode to entering the new year with stability, clarity, and strength.

Look again at our study text and ask yourself: What exactly was Jesus thanking God for? From  human perspective, there was little or nothing to be grateful for. He was surrounded by a great multitude who had followed Him to hear the Word. They were hungry, and there was no food in sight.

All that was available were five loaves and two fishes which was barely enough to feed one person, yet there were about five thousands  men in attendance, not counting women and children.

Human reasoning would suggest complaint, anxiety, or despair. But Jesus did none of these. Instead, He gave thanks.

Thanksgiving preceded the miracle. Jesus acknowledged God, not based on abundance, but in faith and trust. His gratitude activated multiplication.

*What seemed insufficient in man’s hands became more than enough in God’s hands, through thanksgiving.*

This teaches us a powerful lesson: thanksgiving is not a response to having everything we desire; it is an expression of confidence in God’s ability to supply all our needs.

When you give thanks in lack, uncertainty, or waiting period, you position yourself for divine intervention.

As you approach the end of this year, do not focus on what did not work, what you lost, or what seems unfinished. Like Jesus, lift what you have however small it may seem, and give thanks.

*God specializes in multiplying grateful offerings.*

 *BIBLE READING:*

Acts 20:32–35.

 *PRAYER FOCUS:*

Father, thank You for the gift of Your Son. Teach me to give thanks at all times in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
